• You may use one of the Many Pre-Packaged Waivers that we on the Setup > Select Packaged Waiver Rules.
  
• If the packaged waivers do not fit your league, yet you still wish for a basic setup waiver system you can use the Setup > Weekly Waiver Setup to define your events.
  
• If your league uses more detailed waivers then you can use the Waiver Rules Calendar Setup to define your events.
  

Use this setup wizard to help guide you through the waiver setup process and verify that the waivers will function properly throughout the season.

1. Set Up Waiver Periods

i. Indicate the date/time that the event starts.  You can choose either a specific date/time or "Kickoff of week xx", but when using the latter, be careful as many weeks start with either a Thursday or Saturday game

NOTE: 12:00 PM is noon and 12:00 AM is midnight.  In addition, what is commonly referred to as "midnight tonight" is technically the first second of the new day tomorrow, and NOT the last second of today.

ii. Choose whether this is a one time event or a re-occurring event.  If reoccurring you will need to specify the number of weeks in which this event repeats.

NOTE: Repeated events should only occur within the span of a single week and then be repeated.  Defining an event to occur naturally (by start/end date/time) in excess of 7 days and then repeating this event will generate a "Warning: Overlapping event..." error.

iii. Select the type of waiver event for this specified period.

2. Validate Waiver Periods - Once you click "SAVE" the waiver period is automatically checked to ensure they are valid.  Theses waiver periods will then appear at the top of the Waiver Setup Wizard and you may continue to add more events.

3. Setup Waiver Parameters - After you have defined your waiver events for your league you will need to define the appropriate parameters for your events.  Follow the specified link(s) to setup your criteria for your waiver events.

Event Types

No Waivers Allowed - This event is hidden when waivers are separated from true free agents on the For Commissioners > Setup > Transactions Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup screen.  Use it to restrict a time when owners are not able to pick up any non-roster players.  Any previous event will terminate with this event.

First Come, First Served Waivers - This event is hidden when waivers are separated from true free agents on the For Commissioners > Setup > Transactions Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup screen.  Define this event to allow owners the ability to acquire all non-roster players on a first-come-first-served basis.

Waiver Request - This event is used differently depending on whether or not waivers are separated from true free agents on the For Commissioners > Setup > Transactions Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup screen.

Combined Waivers/Free Agents. In this default scenario, owners are able to submit requests on all non-roster players from the beginning of this event through either the end of this event or the start of any of these waiver events (blind bid waivers, FCFS waivers, no waivers, or another waiver request).

Separate Waivers/Free Agents. When this option has been chosen, owners are able to submit requests only on recently dropped players from the beginning of this event through either the end of this event or the start of any of these waiver events (blind bid waivers, or another waiver request).

Blind Bidding Waivers - This event is used differently depending on whether or not waivers are separated from true free agents on the For Commissioners > Setup > Transactions Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup screen.

Combined Waivers/Free Agents. In this default scenario, owners are able to bid on all non-roster players from the beginning of this event through either the end of this event or the start of any of these waiver events (blind bid waivers, FCFS waivers, no waivers, or another waiver request).

Separate Waivers/Free Agents. When this option has been chosen, owners are able to bid only on recently dropped players from the beginning of this event through either the end of this event or the start of any of these waiver events (blind bid waivers, or another waiver request).

No Free Agent Moves Allowed - This event only displays when waivers (recently dropped players) have been separated from true free agents on the For Commissioners > Setup > Transactions Setup > Waivers/Free Agents Setup screen.  By default true free agents can be acquired at all times by any owner on a first-come-first-served basis.  Use this event to restrict these true free agent acquisitions during the week or season as needed.   This event has no bearing on recently dropped (waiver) players.

Use this setup screen to define parameters for your waiver (pickup and drop)  transactions.  Note that these items will only appear if they have been enabled for at least one franchise on the Abilities Setup screen.

• The player is not locked - Select this option if you don't want recently dropped players to be locked at all. Using this option, all players (recently dropped as well as true free agents) are treated in the same way. They are all subject to your league's waiver rules. For example, if player A is a free agent and player B has been recently dropped, a league that uses a Waiver Request, Blind Bid Request, or FCFS waiver period will treat these two players in the exact same manner.
• The next time waiver are processed - Choose this option to lock the recently dropped players until the next time waivers are processed (this is the most common and easiest option).
• X days later - A recently dropped cannot be acquired or requested/bid on by any franchise until the specified number of days (you can also enter in a fraction of a day where 1 hour = 1/24th day = 0.0417 and 3 hours = 1/8th day = 0.0125)
• A specific future date & time - A recently dropped cannot be acquired or requested/bid on by any franchise until the specified future date/time has passed.

When finished, you MUST click on the Save Waiver Setup button in order to apply your changes.
