![]() Things are beginning to shake up as teams begin jockeying for playoff positions.
In the East one team earned a victory while the remaining three took a loss which created a 4 way tie for first!
If the East is tighter than a baby's ass the Central is as wide apart as a back alley ho by way of a 5-1, a 3-3, a 1-5 and a 0-6 records amongst their ranks. Last week all 4 teams in the West scored their lowest weekly point totals and all 4 lost. This week 2 of the 4 scored their highest point totals and all 4 won. Six weeks in and seven teams are tied with 3-3 records while two teams share 5-1 marks. We're just about halfway home and nine of our leagues twelve teams are within two games of one another. Only six will make the post-season cut so keep the pedal to the metal 'cause every game counts! Rahstahs (3-3) win over Miller High Lifes (1-5), 178.17 - 104.13 The Rahs got off their two game slide by recording their highest weekly score of the season. Unfortunately for the High Lifes they scored their lowest weekly point total which dashed their hopes for consecutive wins. Key Game Difference: Rahs: A.Peterson 68 pts; C.Palmer 38 pts Miller: 3 RB & 2 WR total 41 pts Gangsters (3-3) win over Mustangs (0-6), 150.69 - 105.57 The Gangsters evened up their record and the rest of the division with a bounce back win while the Mustangs continued their downward spiral by losing their sixth consecutive game. The Rads win ended two streaks: their two game slide and the Bonecrushers three game winning streak. Key Game Difference: Rads: M.J.Drew 47 pts; D.Anderson 41 pts Crushers: B.Griese 53 bench pts Baltimore Bastards (4-2) win over L.U.S. (3-3), 149.2 - 45.35 The Bastards rebounded from last weeks loss to earn themselves the third best overall record in the league. The L.U.S.loss puts them in a two game slide and the record books with the lowest weekly point total ever. Key Game Difference: Bastards: M.Hasslebeck 41 pts; S.Smith 35 pts L.U.S: 7 players on bye, 3 players out,and 2 players questionable Biloxi Hurricanes (5-1) win over Desert Spawn (3-3), 175.53 - 112.79 The 'Canes improved to a league tying best 5-1 on the heels of their highest weekly point total to date while The Spawn's loss ends their two game winning streak. In the Central division the 'Canes have a one game lead over the the second place KGB and the Hounds from the West lead the second place Bastards by a game. Things are a bit cozier in the East where the 'Crushers, Spawn, and L.U.S. are tied for first with the Gangsters in second back just one game.
Bonecrushers (3-2) win over Mustangs (0-5), 135.43 - 128.42 By a slim 7 pt margin the 'Crushers extended their winning streak to 3 games after having dropped their first two. The consistency finally paid off as they get their first win of the season. On the flip side the Bastards scored their lowest point total thus far and find themselves behind the Hounds in the West. Key Game Difference: Miller: BWatson 35 pts; TRomo 29 pts Bastards: MHasslebeck 4 pts; 3 WR total 17 pts Biloxi Hurricanes (4-1) win over L.U.S. (3-2), 98.99 - 77.01 The 'Canes continue their winning ways and take a 2 game winning streak into week 6 as the Central top dogs while the LUS loss drops them into a 3 way tie for first in the East. ![]() With 10 of 12 teams within one game of one another the league is wide open for any one of those 10 but for 2 teams that wide open gap is shrinking exponentially. Though neither team would be mathematically out of contention with a week five loss, being 5 games in the hole might prove to be too deep a hole to dig out from. Mustangs (0-4) vs Bonecrushers (2-2) After dropping their first two games the 'Crushers are riding a 2 game win streak. The Mustangs hope to pick up where they left off last week when they tied their highest weekly total to date. Key Players Mustangs - J.Campbell, F.Gore Crushers - R.Brown, L.Johnson Miller High Lifes (0-4) vs Baltimore Bastards (3-1) Like the Mustangs the High Lifes are coming off their weekly high score and will need a repeat performance if they are to take out the Bastards who are on a two game win streak themselves. Key Players Miller - T.Romo, C.Portis Bastards - M.Hasslebeck, S.Smith There are 2 games involving 2-2 teams. All four teams involved currently sit in second place in their respective divisions but will need to win in order to keep pace with the 3-1 first place teams that sit atop each division. RahStahs (2-2) vs Desert Spawn (2-2) The Rahs are looking to get back in the win column after losing in week 4 while the Spawn attempt to take their second game in a row with a week 5 win.. Key Players Rah - A.Davis, D.Driver Spawn - E.Manning, E.James KGB (2-2) vs Radwasters (2-2) After a strong 2-0 start the KGB will need to rediscover their winning ways if they are to get off their 2 game slide. The Rads will need to improve from last week in which they scored their lowest weekly total to date if they are to keep from losing 2 in a row themselves. Key Players KGB - P.Manning, R.Moss Rads - J.Kitna, W.Parker There are four 3-1 teams left with each division boasting one amongst their ranks. The L.U.S. in the East, the Biloxi Hurricanes in the Central, and the Hounds and Bastards in the West. Hounds (3-1) vs Gangsters (2-2) The Hounds are off and running with a 2 game win streak and a tie for first in the very competitive west. The Gangsters on the other hand are amidst a 2 game slide after their 2-0 start to the season and are in need of a win to turn it around. Key Players Hounds - T.Brady, S.Alexander Gangsters - J.Cutler, R.Bush Because of our featured game of the week once the week 5 dust has settled there will be one less 1 loss team. Only one victor will be standing come Tues morning, so may the better team win! ![]() L.U.S. (3-1) vs Biloxi Hurricanes (3-1) This week the featured game is titled the "Something old, something new" game.
"Something old" - The 'Canes started off the 2006 campaign 3-1 as well and went on to finish second overall. Been there done that. "Something new" - L.U.S. began their 2006 season 1-3 and went on to finish last. This year things are different Between something old and something new SOMETHINGS gotta give! ![]() Well, well, well no surprise that after 4 weeks there are (4) 3-1 teams and (6) 2-2 teams. There had been a possibility of (5) 3-1 teams come weeks end which would have resulted in a couple of 1-3 teams and a bit of separation in the East and Central divisions. As expected, though, parity thus far has run amok with 10 of 12 teams within one game of each other heading into week 5! Desert Spawn (2-2) win over Radwasters (2-2) After scoring a week 3 high score the Rads score their lowest total of the year and the Spawn (one of the two week 3 1-3 teams) were there to take advantage of it by churning out a 19 pt win. The win puts Spawn in a tie for 2nd in the East while the loss puts the Rads in a tie for 2nd in the West. Key Game Difference: Desert Spawn: W.McGahee 24 pts 14/104 rush, 2/32 rec Radwasters: 17 total pts between 3 WR Bonecrushers (2-2) win over Miller High Lifes (0-4) Miller matched his weekly high score of 138 but it would not be enough to stave off the surging Bonecrushers who put up a week 5 high score of 161. Miller remains in the Central cellar while the 'Crushers sit in a tie for 2nd in the East. Key Game Difference: Crushers: R.Brown 44 pts 15/134 rush with a 9 yd TD, 6/73 rec Miller: all 3 RBs total 40 pts Hounds (3-1) win over Mustangs (0-4) Like Miller the Mustangs scored their highest weekly total (131) and like Miller the Mustangs lost again. Keeping the Mustangs in a tie for last in the Central was the Hounds 143 pts. With the victory the Hounds sit in a tie for 1st in the West. Key Game Difference: Hounds: Chi D and T.Brady who combined for 68/143 team pts Mustangs: D.McNabb and M.Harrison who combined for an 8 pt total Baltimore Bastards (3-1) win over Gangsters (2-2) Sharing the West lead with the aforementioned Hounds are the Bastards whom eeked out an 11 pt win over the Gangsters. Both teams produced their lowest point total for a week with 116 ad 105 respectively. The loss drops the Gangsters into a 3-way tie for 2nd in the East. Key Game Difference: Bastards: week 3 FA pick-up C.Buckhalter 27 pts 17/103 rush, 4/3 rec Gangsters: Den D -2 pts! Biloxi Huirricanes (3-1) win over RahStahs (2-2) Another team scoring its lowest pt total to date the Rahs put up a meek 102 pts in a decisive loss to the 'Canes who put up 141 pts. ![]() We're coming to the end of our first month of fantasy play. (Shit goes by fast doesn't it?) So far no one team has displayed dominance over the others which is evident when considering 3 of our 6 KFFL week 4 match-ups are between teams with 2-1 records. All four teams in the West are 2-1 while two teams each from the East (Gangsters, LUS) and Central (KGB, Biloxi) divisions are 2-1 as well. With 6 of the 8 2-1s going head to head, come Tues. morning our league will definately have 3 teams at 3-1 with a possibiliy of 5 teams sitting at 3-1! This week may be the one in which teams begin to separate but as of now its still anyones race. The three 2-1 match-ups make up this weeks featured games to watch. ![]() Its official, there is plenty of parity so far this season as the undefeated teams are no more. The Gangsters, KGB, and Biloxi Hurricanes all lost which means no team is more than 2 games back. Its anybodys race!

![]() Talk about reversals of fortune. Last years no.1 offense is sputtering as are the hopes of fantasy footballers around the nation. The 'Aints .. er, the Saints will have to come alive at home tonight if they want to get over the hump and win their first game of the season. Speakingg of games over, there is only one game officially over in the KFFL but upon review of tonights participating players only two games have a chance at being effected. Gangsters vs RahStahs
The Gang is down by 62 but they have R.Bush waiting to explode.Biloxi Hurricanes vs Bonecrushers The 'Canes are down big (-119 pts) but they have D.Brees, D.McCallster, and M.Colston so theoretically it could be interesting. Good luck, gentlemen, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

![]() Its week 3 gentlemen. With The first two weeks of intra-division play over all teams get a taste of compeition from around the league. Three teams go for 3-0 and three teams go for their first win. A quick glance at this weeks games. The 2-0 Gangsters attempt to stretch their East division lead by taking on the RahStahs. The Gangsters are indeed off to a strong start but the Rahs are doing better than their 1-1 record might dictate. On paper the Rahs lead the Gang in Powewr ranking and points scored but the game isnt won on paper. Should be a good one. Another 2-0 team ,the KGB, share a lead with fellow Central opponent the Biloxi Hurricanes. The KGB have their hands full with the Baltimore Bastards this week. The Bastards are coming off a 2007 week high score of 199 points. The KGB and Bastards are one and two in the power rankings so this game should be a dandy. The aforementioned 'Canes tussle with the 0-2 Bonecrushers from the East. The 'Crushers are off to a shaky start but they match well with the 'Canes who should not take them lightly. Only 15 points seperate the two teams in total points so this is anyone's game. Along with the previously mentioned Rahs and Bastards the Hounds and Radwasters also sit at 1-1 in the West for a 4-way tie for first. The Hounds take on the 1-1 East Desert Spawn whom are coming off a 188 point week, 11 shy of the 2007 week high score. Two more teams that match well and sit #5 and #6 in the power rankings respectively. The Radwasters knock heads with the 0-2 Miller High Lifes who lost a close one in week 2 by 5 points. The High Lifes will again have their hands full as the Rads, who are also coming off a week 2 loss, should provide them a challenge. Although the Rads sit at #3 in the power standings the High Lifes have recorded just 11 pts per game less than the Rads. The last game is between the East L.U.S. (1-1) an the Centrals Mustangs (0-2). Both teams are also coming off week 2 losses in which both teams scored week lows of 116 and 124 respectively. Having said that this should be a very competitive game between two very hungry squads in search for a week 3 win. As always, GL guys and may the best teams win! |

WARNING: ![]() Darrin Woodson : STICK-A-DICK-IN-IT !
![]() Some people really piss me off by misuderstanding the simplest of things. I'd like to recognize these ass-hats by awarding them with a bit of unwanted criticism. So without further adieu I present to you the "Stick-A-Dick-In-It" column. In our first, of hopefully many, "Stick-A-Dick-In-It" weekly columns we recognize and celebrate the diarrhea of the mouth laden commentary of ESPN NFL analyst, Darrin Woodson. He commented on the fine of $7500 given to T.Owens from the NFL for his video tape mocking of the Patriots recent "Spy-gate" scandal by saying,"T.O. is being picked on." and that the fine is the result of a "double-standard". He continued by questioning C.Johnson's H.O.F. jacket celebration adding,"why wasn't he fined?" Although he seems to be a bright individual he also seemingly displays a difficulty in reading and/or understanding the english written word. How else can you explain his confusion? Well, allow me to help you my non-investigative analyst friend. Heres a hint, Darrin: Try reading the fucking rules you moron! In a vote of 29-3, the owners gave officials power to penalize a team 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff for excessive celebrations on the field. One area that remains in play, though, is the sidelines. Mike Pereira, the league's supervisor of officials, said if sidelines become the next area of excessive celebration, the competition committee would address it next winter. The rulesmakers also outlawed using the ball as a prop. Even Owens displayed his difficulty in grasping the english written word and the grammer that accompanies it by stating,"It's kind of hard to understand the rules. It's like you can't do nothing no more." In a surprising twist Owens followed up his ebonics with a comment that seemed almost poignantly regrettable, "Nothing's worth getting a fine for," he said. Wow, who saw that one coming. Owens clearly utilized the ball as a prop on the field while Chad celebrated without the ball on the sidelines. End of story. STICK A DICK IN IT!

![]() One down and twelve more to go.
No time for getting upset just yet. Week 1 is in the books which leaves us 12 more weeks before the KFFL II playoffs begin. A lot of time in no time at all. Game on!* Our returning champion Radwasters continued their winning ways by taking down the Bastards 166.78 - 128.87. Leading the way for the Champs was the Minn D/ST which scored 1/4 (42/166) of their overall points. In a losing effort the Bastards ,who missed the playoffs last year by the slimmest of margins, were lead by RB B.Westbrook & WR S.Smith, both of whom scored 20. * Year one's runner-up, the Biloxi Hurricanes, also picked up a win with a 138.11 - 102.98 score over last years no.5 seed Mustangs. Not suprizingly, LT led the way for the 'Canes with a nice count of 33.98 points while the Mustangs were led by second year man J.Addai who put up a slightly nicer 34. * Last years bronze medal winner, the Gangsters, squeeked by the Desert Spawn 143.56 - 138.43. Top scorer for the Gangsters wasn't S.Jackson, R.Bush, or R.Johnson. Nope. It was WR A.Johnson with 29.93 points. Across the field Desert Spawn was led by the gimped up E.Manning who knocked out 53 big ones before excusing himself in the 2ndH of his Sunday night matchup. * Just missing a piece of one of the top 3 cash prizes by losing in round two of the playoffs, the RahStahs lost once more 158.19 - 179.06 to the revamped Hounds. Out in front for the losing RahStahs was rookie A.Peterson who topped all backs with 40 points. The Hounds boasted three players with 30 or more points and of the three the top dog was none other than T.Brady who tallied 37.5. *The final playoff participant from last year, the 6th seeded Bonecrushers lost week 1's closest game 135.61 - 138.09 to the L.U.S.. High scorer for the 'Crushers was the Seattle D/ST who put up 27.05 points and the L.U.S. were led by two steeltown cogs who put up 30+. Standing tallest of them was BigBens total of 36.50 points. *The reigning Consolation winning Miller High Lifes started their season on a low note by losing to the KGB, 138.65 - 181.92. The SD D/ST led the way for Miller with a 24.85 total while the KGB were led by the Manning not hurt this week, Mr SNL himself, Peyton who produced 37.4. Unlike the borderline ridiculous BCSS the KFFL championship cannot be lost in week 1 so theres no worries for week 1 losers ... as long as they dont continue to lose. Keep plowing forward men, week 2 is next! |

With keepers locked, at this point teams may begin trade talks involving draft rounds and players not protected by the keeper rule. -Trading one draft pick for one player straight up is just that. Team A gives up a draft pick in order to obtain a player from another teams roster that is not protected by the keeper rule. Receiving the draft pick, Team B surrenders their 18th round pick since they will have their 18 man roster filled by the 17th round. Pre-draft trades are a new twist to the ordinary rules of fantasy that adds another strategic angle to our league.
Individual Player Points Scored per Team
Justifiably the losing teams have more valuable rounds to deal with than the winning teams. This helps further promote the possibilty of parity within the league. |
