Desert Spawn

#3 Desert Spawn (164.15) over #5 Biloxi Hurricanes (112.29)
The Desert Spawn came back from losing both the final game of the season and a #2 seed to win it all! They tackled head on the team that beat them mercifully in week 6 and repaid the favor when it would count the most.
The 50 pt win came on the heels of sleeper stud D.Gerrards 32 pts and his Jax D who tallied 25. Not to be outdone the Spawns backfield tossed in a hefty 75 pts with E.James (21), J.Lewis (24), and F.Taylor (30) running wild on Sunday afternoon. Suprise wideout R.White rounded out the double digit scorers with 20. Scoring under the 10 pt total were H.Ward (7). TE T.Scheffler (5) and PK M.Crosby (1).
Unfortunately in competition with every winner there is a loser and for the second consecutive year the Biloxi Hurricanes would fill that role. The pesimist willt say its an even more unfortunate loss considering its two in a row but the opptimist will point out that reaching the championship game twice in a row may be a harder feat to achieve than winning it.
That may be little consolation for a 'Canes squad that produced only 4 double digit scorers. Leading the way were the running back tandem of A.Peterson(Chi) and L.Tomlinson who scored 31 and 30 pts respectively while the NE D/ST added 26. The threes combined total of 87 was very nice but the remainder of the teams 25 pt total was not. D.Bress, the fnal double digit scorer, led the futility with 13 and was followed by WRs W.Walkers 6 & M.Colstons 3. Lastly, PK P.Dawson contributed a paltry 2 while TE D.Lee and RB R.Dayne combined for 0.7! After having avg. 179 in their two playoff wins scoring 112 in the championship is a dissapointment but the 'Canes two year run has been anything but.

Congrats to Milo on his championship year and congrats to Brian for another winning year!
Also, congrats to the KGB and Miller High Lifes for their 2007 winnings and congrats to evryone for another competitive season of fantasy football.

"'Canes wash away the 'Hounds!"

(5) Biloxi Hurricanes 169.55 over (1) Hounds 95.80
After these two teams butted heads in a high scoring week 12 affair at the end of the season their round 2 match-up figured to deliver similar fireworks. It wouldnt happen.
The 'Canes didnt exactly show up with a full arsenal but unfortunately for the 'Hounds they showed up with a few duds. B.Jacobs laced 'em up and scored 30 pts for the Hounds but only the Packers D/ST (20) and B.Engram (10) would score double digts. The usually prolific T.Brady was hampered by a nor'easter and a psyched up Jets D which held him to a season low 7 pts. S.Alexander and K.Jones mustered up a scant 9 pts while J.Fargas (the NFL's leading rusher since week 10) sat on 23 bench pts. Remaining starters C.Chambers, A.Vinateiri, and K.Winslow added in 8, 7, and 4 pts respectively.
As for the Canes they would have their low scorers too with T.Henry (5), WWalker (3), D.Lee (7), and R.Gould (8) scoring 23 total pts amongst the four but they would also have a few high scorers as well. D.Brees, LT, and the Pats D combined for a monsterous 110 total points which was more than the Hounds team total. Additionally A.Peterson(Chi) and M.Colston tossed in a solid 18 pts a piece as Don Meredith began belting out that old famliar,"Turn out the lights, the partys over.".
The championship party is indeed over for the top ranked Hounds who find themselves in the bronze medal match-up while the Canes propel themselves to their second consecutive championship game. Well done Brian, congrats!

"Spawn Attacks!"

(3) Desert Spawn 172.70 over (2) KGB 132.71
Having played their only game against one another in the last game of the season the KGB beat the Desert Spawn 170-137. In an incredible twist of fate the Spawn avenged that loss by an almost identical score of 172-132! In that week 13 tilt the KGB's P.Manning, B.Edwards, and T.Owens scored a collective 96 pts. In this round 2 playoff game that same trio managed just 30 pts. Not helping matters were R.Moss' 7 pts and A.gates' 2 pts. Those who did make significant contributions were J.Elams 9 pts, L.Maroneys 28, and the NE D/STs 47 pts.
While the KGB had 3 players break the 10 pt barrier the Spawn had 8/9 players break that mark. Leading the way were J.Lewis, a surprising T.Sheffler, and W.MacGahee who totaled 81 pts. Having tossed for a negative 2 pts in their first match-up Brett Favre would right the ship in this one by putting up 22 pts. this time out. M.Crosby added a svelt 19 while the Jags D, E.James and H.Ward added 20, 14, and 11 pts respectively. The only Spawn player not to eclipse 10 pts. was P.Burress who managed just 4 pts.
The KGB now look forward to their Bronze medal tussle and the Spawn loo forward to playing for it all in the championship game.

KFFL Bowl Match-up

"Something old, something new"

#3 Desert Spawn s. #5 Biloxi Hurricanes
This years Bowl game features first time playoff participant, Desert spawn, and last years KFFL Bowl runner-up, Biloxi Hurricanes. The only previous match-up between these two was in week 6 when the 'Canes layed the smack down on the spawn 176-113. To keep things in perspective the Spawn made some questionable decisions as evidenced by their 63% efficiency rating but it may have not mattered as the Canes posted their highest point total of the regular season.
That was then and this is now. Currentlly both teams are clicking as the Canes have averaged 179 pts per game in both their playoff games and the Spawn have averaged 169 pts per game in both their playoff games. Two hot teams are set to collide in this years Bowl game so may the best team win!

Championship Playoffs Round 1 Results

"Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier!"

(5) Biloxi Hurricanes 187.73 over (4) Radwasters 170.90
Revenge is a dish best served on the grid-iron. Just ask the 'Canes whose rematch of the first KFFL bowl is over, as is
the speculation.
There will indeed be a new champ this year after last years champ was dethroned in a high scoring and competitive game
in which this time the 'Canes prevailed. As mentioned both teams are no strangers to the playoffs since both competed in
the KFFL I Bowl but the 17 point margin of victory for the 'Canes insures them another chance to reach the championship
game while simultaneously insuring the Rads will not. The 'Canes move on into Round 2 for the second consecutive year
all the while putting $50 into the 'Canes pockets.
Responsible for the win was the dual headed monster of L.T. and D.Brees who accounted for 5 TDs and 501 yards
combined. Pitching in were M.Colston who was the recipient of two Brees TDs good for 23 pts and the NYG D/ST who
chipped in 21 pts. Rounding out the 'Canes victory were W.Walker (16), T.Henry (11), A.Peterson-Chi (10), R.Gould (10),
and A.Crumpler (4). The Radwasters did indeed put up a fight but unfortunately it wouldn't be enough. J.witten (32) and
W.Parker (29) were the Rads top two scorers but doing their part as well were the Vikings D/ST (27), T.Jones (24), and
D.Anderson (20). The remainder of the scoring lay with R.Wayne (13), S.Gostkowski (11), M.J-Drew (10), and
C.Johnsons disappointing 7 pts.
Key Game Difference:

*Canes: 92% efficiency rating; D.Brees (45.8) & LT (47.8) combine for half (94) of their 188 team pts
*Rad: 84% eff. rating; R.Wayne (#3 KFFL WR) & C.Johnson (#9 KFFL WR) combined 17 pts; L.White's 34 bench pts

"Ohhhh-nooo, just a c-hair short!" (part 1)

(3) Desert Spawn 164.1 over (6) Bonecrushers 155.74
Also returning to the championship playoffs were the Bonecrushers who would attempt to garner their first playoff victory
while newcomer to the championship run Spawn would attempt to do the same thing.
These teams met twice before in the regular season with the Spawn winning both match-ups (Wk2 188-126 and Wk10
135-120). Unfortunately for the 'Crushers they would be thwarted once more as the Spawn pulled off the narrow 8 point win.
Heading the way for the Spawn were Jam Lewis, the up and down Jax D., and suprise QB D.Garrard who all together
accumulated 103 of the teams 164 pts. Also contributing were R.White (15.5) E.James (13.2), W.McGahee (13.45),
M.Crosby (9), H.Ward (5.35) and T.Sheffler (5.1).
As for the 'Crushers although they would be without top back L.Johnson for the fifth straight week their running game didnt
miss a beat by scoring more than half the teams points (93). Big Ben (20.75) and suprise G.Jennings (21.67) did their parts
while T.J.Housh (9.32), V.Davis (6.7), and N.Rackers (3) did what they could. Disappointing was the staunt Pit D/ST who
mustered a measley 0.85 pts against the juggernaut Patriots. The 'Crushers couldn't have done any more as is indicated
by their 99.5% eff. rating. On the flip side Spawn managed to win despite a paltry 74% eff. rating. with B.Farve (33),
F.Taylor (40). and P.Burress (25) on the bench.
Key Game Difference:

*Spawn: J.Lewis (42.95) Jax D/ST (33.95) D.garrard (25.55)
*Crushers: Pitt D/ST (0.85)

"Ohhhh-nooo, just a c-hair short!" (part 2)

(3) Gangsters 107.5 over (6) Mustangs 101.52
The Gangsters narrowly missed their second consecutive run in the championship playoffs by dropping their last two games
of the season. Not missing so narrowly were the Mustangs who also made the championship playoffs last year but struggled
this year.
The Mustangs wouldn't go down without a fight as the two teams played in the closest game of both playoff brackets. The
stars of the game for the Gangsters didn't shine so bright with top scorer R.Johnson scoring only 22 pts. S.Jackson added
20 and T.Gonzalez added 18. Fortunately for the Gang R.Grossmans 0.7 pts didn't cost them but Rex will need to contribute
much more if the Gangsters are to win in round two. The Mustangs J.Addai came to play and tossed up a nice 35.35 but the
Ram D/ST was the only other score to top 20 pts. L.Fitgerald scored 15 and C.Cooley scored 11 to round out the Mustangs
double digit scorers. Like the Gang the Mustang QB, J.Campbell was almost non-existent scoring a paltry 5.3 pts.
Unfortunately the Mustangs once again left D.Mcnabb on the pine where he gathered 17 pts. To be fair the Gangsters left
J.Cutler on the bench where he scored 41 big ones. The Gangsters look towards round 2 vs the Miller High Lifes and the
Mustangs look forward to the #1 pick next year.
Key Game Difference
Gangsters:
*R.Johnson (22); S.Jackson (20)
*Mustangs: 7 of 9 starters total 47 pts; DMcNabb 17 bench pts

"Whoa, did somebody step on a duck!"

(5) L.U.S. 110.09 over (4) RahStahs 61.48
This game was the stinker of the bunch and the RahStahs were a huge reason why.
After finishing 4th overall last year the Rahs fell to 3rd worst overall this year. L.U.S started out 3-1 but couldn't maintain and
lost the rest of the way out. As bad as that may sound the Rahs were worse. Consider that their top scorer was the Ravens
D/ST 14 pts! The only other players to put up double digits were J.Norwood (11) and S.McDonald (10). The Rahs top four
scorers (C.Palmer, A.Peterson-Min, Balt D, D.Clark) totaled 27 pts.
L.U.S would only partially feel the Rahs pain when 7 of their 9 starters would total only 37 pts. but fortunately for LUS his
other two players, M.Barber and Sea D/ST, outscored the entire Rahs team by themselves. Even worse for the Rahs was
the fact they had no bench points that could have helped their situation. LUS on the other hand can turn to P.Rivers (20) or
M.Lynch (20) if need be. L.U.S. takes on the Baltimore Bastards in round 2 and the Rahs look forward to next years 3rd
overall pick.
Key Game Difference

* LUS: M.Barber (43) Sea D/ST (31)
* Rah: C.Palmer (6) A.Peterson-Min (4) D.Clark (2)

Week 15 - Playoffs Round 2

(1) Hounds vs (5) Biloxi Hurricanes
This semi-final game is a rematch of week 12s 176.05-169.15 barn-burner in which the Hounds barely came out on top.
Leading the way for the Hounds were T.Brady, J.Fargas, and K.Winslow. For the 'Canes D.Brees, A.Hall, and L.T. led the
way. With both teams hitting a 90% eff. rating there wasnt a whole lot more either one could do. With that loss Biloxi ended
the season on a 1-3 run while the KGB finished with a 3-1 run. Dont be fooled though. Biloxi lost a couple of very high scoring
games. Only two weeks removed from that down to the wire match-up means this weeks game has the make up of a
highly contested battle.

(2) KGB vs (3) Desert Spawn
These two teams just met in their only head-to-head match-up the last week of the season. In that week 13 tilt the KGB
scored a 170.59-137.7 win. Led by Payton's 40 pts., B.Edwards 30, and T.O.s 26 the KGB etched out that weeks third
highest score. The Spawn countered with W.McGahee's 39, H.Wards 23, and the combo of E.James & J.Lewis added
20 a piece. Unfortunately for Spawn B.Farve threw backwards for -1.2 pts. Before that finale loss the Spawn had been on
a 5-1 run so they'll look to avenge the loss that cost them the #2 seed. The Spawn and KGB represent the KFFL's #3 and
#4 power ranked teams respectively so expect a good one.

Good luck and may the best teams win!

The KFFL II Playoffs start tonight with the Chicago Bears taking on the Washington Redskins.
GL gentlemen and may the best teams win!

KFFL II Championship Playoffs

Thats it! The season is over and the playoffs are upon us so let the seedings begin!
By rule the #1 and #2 seeds are the top two division winners with the third best division winner earning the #3 seed.
This year the top division honors go to the #1 seed Greyhounds from the KFFL West division. By winning his league high 10th game, the Hounds #1 seeding earns Randy W. a first round playoff bye and $55.
The winner of the #2 seed ,which is the better division winner of the two divisions left, was not determined so easily since 4 teams ended with identical 8-5 records.
The Desert Spawn let the #2 seed slip away when they could not hold off the smokin KGB. The KGB's win put them in a tie with the Spawn at 8-5. Joining those two teams at 8-5 were the Radwasters, who disposed of the Mustangs, and the Biloxi Hurricanes, who blew by the Bastards.
With the West division Hounds already locked in at #1 and the East division winner represented by Spawn the Central division needed to be determined so the focus was first aimed at the Central division Biloxi Hurricanes and KGB.
The first tie breaker used between two teams from the same division involves head-to-head records. A KGB win over the 'Canes in week 8 was payed back by the 'Canes in week 9 so the second tie breaker between two playoff qualifying teams from the same division was utilized: the two teams division record. With a one game edge of 4-2 to 3-3 the KGB win that tie breaker and the Central division crown.
Time to announce the second seed.
drumroll please ...
By way of the first tie breaker between two tied playoff qualifying teams from different divisions, the KGB's head-to-head win this past week over the Spawn makes Greg the recipient of the #2 seed, a first round bye, and $55.
This means that the Desert Spawn and Milo drop into the #3 spot.
Determining the #4 and #5 seeds are the two remaining 8-5 teams who did not win their division, the Radwasters and the 'Canes. Since these teams did not have a head-to-head match-up we turn to the next tie-breaker of tied W/L records between two playoff qualifying teams from different divisions: total points. Thus by way of a 106 point margin Joe's Rads (1943.45) are granted the #4 seed and Brian's 'Canes (1837.36) are the #5 seed.
With one seed left there is still one more tie to break between two teams tied at 7-6, the Bonecrushers, who slipped by the RahStahs, and the Bastards, who lost to the now #5 seeded 'Canes. Looking through the head-to-head results one last time, a week 7 match-up was the only head-to-head game between the two teams. The result of that game is why Sean's Bonecrushers are this years #6 seed.
Congrats to all the teams involved. It was one hell of a tight race all season long so it was only fitting that it should end that way as well. Good job gentlemen and good luck in the playoffs!

Week 13 Playoff Outlook

KFFL II Playoff Outlook

There are two weeks remaining in the regular season and the playoff picture is no clearer than it was mid-way through the season. Currently there is one clear leader though and they are the Hounds whom at 8-3 have all but locked up a playoff spot and are playing for the all important 1 or 2 seed.
There is no room for error for them because should the Hounds slip and lose a game there are three teams sitting at 7-4 that are ready to pounce on the opportunity for a 1st round bye. The Biloxi Hurricanes, Desert Spawn, and Baltimore Bastards all have playoff aspirations and a week 12 win would put any of them in a "command for a top 3 seed" position.
Unfortunately there is zero room for error for the 7-4 teams as well when you consider the four teams sitting at 6-5 are itching to surplant them. The Bonecrushers, Radwasters, KGB, and Gangsters are all looking for one of their must wins in one of the last two games to stay in contention.
Its week 12 and there are eight playoff contending teams exiting turn 4 and headed down the backstretch. Who'll cross the finish line in first and take the pole position in the 2007 KFFL playoffs? There's only one way to find out... put the peddle to the metal and take the checkers! GL gentlemen.

Florida sheriff's bulletin warns of purported new human waste high

"NOVEMBER 5--We're not sure what they're inhaling down in Collier County, Florida, but here's the bizarre "information bulletin" prepared by the local sheriff's intelligence bureau about a purported "new drug" favored by the kids. It's an inhalant called "Jenkem," and causes hallucinations and a "euphoric high." Of course, as the bulletin notes, Jenkem users dislike its sewagey taste, which can last for days. That's because Jenkem's active ingredients are urine and fecal matter, hence its street names like "Butthash" and "Fruit from Crack Pipe." Click here to see a video report on Jenkem, via Breitbart.tv. We've tried to speak with the bulletin's author, Lieutenant Al Ganich, but he has not returned TSG calls. Perhaps he's realized that his "CONFIDENTIAL" September 26 report--which is authentic, according to a sheriff's official--may be itself full of shit. Ganich's alert reminds us of a New York Fire Department memo from a chief who also apparently never heard of snopes.com. (http://www.snopes.com/rumors/stayaway.htm)"

Week 6 wrap up

Things are beginning to shake up as teams begin jockeying for playoff positions.
In the East one team earned a victory while the remaining three took a loss which created a 4 way tie for first!
If the East is tighter than a baby's ass the Central is as wide apart as a back alley ho by way of a 5-1, a 3-3, a 1-5 and a 0-6 records amongst their ranks.
Last week all 4 teams in the West scored their lowest weekly point totals and all 4 lost. This week 2 of the 4 scored their highest point totals and all 4 won.
Six weeks in and seven teams are tied with 3-3 records while two teams share 5-1 marks. We're just about halfway home and nine of our leagues twelve teams are within two games of one another. Only six will make the post-season cut so keep the pedal to the metal 'cause every game counts!

Rahstahs (3-3) win over Miller High Lifes (1-5), 178.17 - 104.13
The Rahs got off their two game slide by recording their highest weekly score of the season. Unfortunately for the High Lifes they scored their lowest weekly point total which dashed their hopes for consecutive wins.
Key Game Difference:
Rahs: A.Peterson 68 pts; C.Palmer 38 pts
Miller: 3 RB & 2 WR total 41 pts

Gangsters (3-3) win over Mustangs (0-6), 150.69 - 105.57
The Gangsters evened up their record and the rest of the division with a bounce back win while the Mustangs continued their downward spiral by losing their sixth consecutive game.
Key Game Difference:
Gang: C.Lemon 37 pts; T.Gonzalez 34 pts
Stangs: 2 RB & 3 WR total 30 pts

In the closest and highest point scoring game of the week the Rads pulled off a slim 3 point win! The Rads win ended two streaks: their two game slide and the Bonecrushers three game winning streak.
Key Game Difference:
Rads: M.J.Drew 47 pts; D.Anderson 41 pts
Crushers: B.Griese 53 bench pts

Baltimore Bastards (4-2) win over L.U.S. (3-3), 149.2 - 45.35

Key Game Difference:
Bastards: M.Hasslebeck 41 pts; S.Smith 35 pts
L.U.S: 7 players on bye, 3 players out,and 2 players questionable

Week 6

Week 5 wrap-up

Week 5 is in the books and we're down to 2 one loss teams, Biloxi Hurricanes and Hounds. In the Central division the 'Canes have a one game lead over the the second place KGB and the Hounds from the West lead the second place Bastards by a game. Things are a bit cozier in the East where the 'Crushers, Spawn, and L.U.S. are tied for first with the Gangsters in second back just one game.

Bonecrushers (3-2) win over Mustangs (0-5), 135.43 - 128.42

Rad: JKitna 3 pts; DAnderson and KKeith 23 and 44 bench pts respectively

Miller High Lifes (1-4) win over Baltimore Bastards (3-2), 137.1 - 87.1
The High Lifes have been a model of consistency by scoring 138 in week 1, 135 in wk 2, 138 in wk 4, and 137 in wk 5. The consistency finally paid off as they get their first win of the season. On the flip side the Bastards scored their lowest point total thus far and find themselves behind the Hounds in the West.
Key Game Difference:
Miller: BWatson 35 pts; TRomo 29 pts
Bastards: MHasslebeck 4 pts; 3 WR total 17 pts

Hounds: TBrady 35 pts; BJacobs 26 pts
Gangsters: 3 WR total 9 pts, RJohnson on bye

Week 5 at a a glance

With 10 of 12 teams within one game of one another the league is wide open for any one of those 10 but for 2 teams that wide open gap is shrinking exponentially. Though neither team would be mathematically out of contention with a week five loss, being 5 games in the hole might prove to be too deep a hole to dig out from.

Mustangs (0-4) vs Bonecrushers (2-2)
After dropping their first two games the 'Crushers are riding a 2 game win streak. The Mustangs hope to pick up where they left off last week when they tied their highest weekly total to date.
Key Players
Mustangs - J.Campbell, F.Gore
Crushers - R.Brown, L.Johnson

Miller High Lifes (0-4) vs Baltimore Bastards (3-1)
Like the Mustangs the High Lifes are coming off their weekly high score and will need a repeat performance if they are to take out the Bastards who are on a two game win streak themselves.
Key Players
Miller - T.Romo, C.Portis
Bastards - M.Hasslebeck, S.Smith

There are 2 games involving 2-2 teams. All four teams involved currently sit in second place in their respective divisions but will need to win in order to keep pace with the 3-1 first place teams that sit atop each division.

RahStahs (2-2) vs Desert Spawn (2-2)
The Rahs are looking to get back in the win column after losing in week 4 while the Spawn attempt to take their second game in a row with a week 5 win..
Key Players
Rah - A.Davis, D.Driver
Spawn - E.Manning, E.James

KGB (2-2) vs Radwasters (2-2)
After a strong 2-0 start the KGB will need to rediscover their winning ways if they are to get off their 2 game slide. The Rads will need to improve from last week in which they scored their lowest weekly total to date if they are to keep from losing 2 in a row themselves.
Key Players
KGB - P.Manning, R.Moss
Rads - J.Kitna, W.Parker

There are four 3-1 teams left with each division boasting one amongst their ranks. The L.U.S. in the East, the Biloxi Hurricanes in the Central, and the Hounds and Bastards in the West.

Hounds (3-1) vs Gangsters (2-2)
The Hounds are off and running with a 2 game win streak and a tie for first in the very competitive west. The Gangsters on the other hand are amidst a 2 game slide after their 2-0 start to the season and are in need of a win to turn it around.
Key Players
Hounds - T.Brady, S.Alexander
Gangsters - J.Cutler, R.Bush

Because of our featured game of the week once the week 5 dust has settled there will be one less 1 loss team. Only one victor will be standing come Tues morning, so may the better team win!

L.U.S. (3-1) vs Biloxi Hurricanes (3-1)
This week the featured game is titled the "Something old, something new" game.
"Something old" - The 'Canes started off the 2006 campaign 3-1 as well and went on to finish second overall. Been there done that.
"Something new" - L.U.S. began their 2006 season 1-3 and went on to finish last. This year things are different
Between something old and something new SOMETHINGS gotta give!
Key Players
LUS - V.Young, M.Barber
Canes - D.Brees, L.Tomlinson

Week 4 wrap-up

Well, well, well no surprise that after 4 weeks there are (4) 3-1 teams and (6) 2-2 teams. There had been a possibility of (5) 3-1 teams come weeks end which would have resulted in a couple of 1-3 teams and a bit of separation in the East and Central divisions. As expected, though, parity thus far has run amok with 10 of 12 teams within one game of each other heading into week 5!

Desert Spawn (2-2) win over Radwasters (2-2)
After scoring a week 3 high score the Rads score their lowest total of the year and the Spawn (one of the two week 3 1-3 teams) were there to take advantage of it by churning out a 19 pt win. The win puts Spawn in a tie for 2nd in the East while the loss puts the Rads in a tie for 2nd in the West.
Key Game Difference:
Desert Spawn: W.McGahee 24 pts 14/104 rush, 2/32 rec
Radwasters: 17 total pts between 3 WR

Bonecrushers (2-2) win over Miller High Lifes (0-4)
Miller matched his weekly high score of 138 but it would not be enough to stave off the surging Bonecrushers who put up a week 5 high score of 161.
Miller remains in the Central cellar while the 'Crushers sit in a tie for 2nd in the East.
Key Game Difference:
Crushers: R.Brown 44 pts 15/134 rush with a 9 yd TD, 6/73 rec
Miller: all 3 RBs total 40 pts

Hounds (3-1) win over Mustangs (0-4)
Like Miller the Mustangs scored their highest weekly total (131) and like Miller the Mustangs lost again. Keeping the Mustangs in a tie for last in the Central was the Hounds 143 pts. With the victory the Hounds sit in a tie for 1st in the West.
Key Game Difference:
Hounds: Chi D and T.Brady who combined for 68/143 team pts
Mustangs: D.McNabb and M.Harrison who combined for an 8 pt total

Baltimore Bastards (3-1) win over Gangsters (2-2)
Sharing the West lead with the aforementioned Hounds are the Bastards whom eeked out an 11 pt win over the Gangsters. Both teams produced their lowest point total for a week with 116 ad 105 respectively. The loss drops the Gangsters into a 3-way tie for 2nd in the East.
Key Game Difference:
Bastards: week 3 FA pick-up C.Buckhalter 27 pts 17/103 rush, 4/3 rec
Gangsters: Den D -2 pts!

Biloxi Huirricanes (3-1) win over RahStahs (2-2)
Another team scoring its lowest pt total to date the Rahs put up a meek 102 pts in a decisive loss to the 'Canes who put up 141 pts. The 'Canes win keeps them atop of the Central while the Rahs loss has them in a tie for 2nd in the West
Key Game Difference:
Canes: L.Tomlinson 37 pts 20/132 rush with a 5 yd TD, 5/22 rec
Rahs: 30 total pts amongst 3 RBs

L.U.S. (3-1) win over KGB (2-2)
In a reversal from last year the LUS start 3-1 by winning the closest game on Sundays card by an 8 pt margin over the KGB. The victory places LUS alone in 1st in the East division and the loss puts the KGB alone in 2nd in the Central.
Key Game Difference:
LUS: S.Holmes 43 pts on 6/128 rec with 43 and 7 yd TDs
KGB: 2/3 RBs total 0 pts

Week 4 at a glance

We're coming to the end of our first month of fantasy play. (Shit goes by fast doesn't it?)
So far no one team has displayed dominance over the others which is evident when considering 3 of our 6 KFFL week 4 match-ups are between teams with 2-1 records.
All four teams in the West are 2-1 while two teams each from the East (Gangsters, LUS) and Central (KGB, Biloxi) divisions are 2-1 as well.
With 6 of the 8 2-1s going head to head, come Tues. morning our league will definately have 3 teams at 3-1 with a possibiliy of 5 teams sitting at 3-1!
This week may be the one in which teams begin to separate but as of now its still anyones race.
The three 2-1 match-ups make up this weeks featured games to watch.

Its official, there is plenty of parity so far this season as the undefeated teams are no more. The Gangsters, KGB, and Biloxi Hurricanes all lost which means no team is more than 2 games back. Its anybodys race!

Gangsters (2-1) lose to RahStahs (2-1)
The Gang loses their first game finishing week 3 with their lowest scoring output to date while the Rahs scored just below their 2 week avg.

Bastards: #1 RB Brian Westbrook's 60 pts on 110 rush yds, 111 ec. yds, and 3 TDs

Biloxi Hurricanes (2-1) lose to Bonecrushers (1-2)
As expected the then winless Crushers gave the Canes all they could handle - and then some - winning huge and setting a new 2007 hi-score.

Mustangs: playing Jason Campbell (17 pts) and not Donovan McNabb (65 pts)

MNF - Aints?

Talk about reversals of fortune. Last years no.1 offense is sputtering as are the hopes of fantasy footballers around the nation.
The 'Aints .. er, the Saints will have to come alive at home tonight if they want to get over the hump and win their first game of the season.
Speakingg of games over, there is only one game officially over in the KFFL but upon review of tonights participating players only two games have a chance at being effected.

Gangsters vs RahStahs
The Gang is down by 62 but they have R.Bush waiting to explode.

Biloxi Hurricanes vs Bonecrushers
The 'Canes are down big (-119 pts) but they have D.Brees, D.McCallster, and M.Colston so theoretically it could be interesting.

Good luck, gentlemen,

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

Week 3 at a glance

Its week 3 gentlemen. With The first two weeks of intra-division play over all teams get a taste of compeition from around the league.
Three teams go for 3-0 and three teams go for their first win. A quick glance at this weeks games.

The 2-0 Gangsters attempt to stretch their East division lead by taking on the RahStahs. The Gangsters are indeed off to a strong start but the Rahs are doing better than their 1-1 record might dictate. On paper the Rahs lead the Gang in Powewr ranking and points scored but the game isnt won on paper. Should be a good one.

Another 2-0 team ,the KGB, share a lead with fellow Central opponent the Biloxi Hurricanes. The KGB have their hands full with the Baltimore Bastards this week. The Bastards are coming off a 2007 week high score of 199 points. The KGB and Bastards are one and two in the power rankings so this game should be a dandy.

The aforementioned 'Canes tussle with the 0-2 Bonecrushers from the East. The 'Crushers are off to a shaky start but they match well with the 'Canes who should not take them lightly. Only 15 points seperate the two teams in total points so this is anyone's game.

Along with the previously mentioned Rahs and Bastards the Hounds and Radwasters also sit at 1-1 in the West for a 4-way tie for first. The Hounds take on the 1-1 East Desert Spawn whom are coming off a 188 point week, 11 shy of the  2007 week high score. Two more teams that match well and sit #5 and #6 in the power rankings respectively.

The Radwasters knock heads with the 0-2 Miller High Lifes who lost a close one in week 2 by 5 points. The High Lifes will again have their hands full as the Rads, who are also coming off a week 2 loss, should provide them a challenge. Although the Rads sit at #3 in the power standings the High Lifes have recorded just 11 pts per game less than the Rads.

The last game is between the East L.U.S. (1-1) an the Centrals Mustangs (0-2). Both teams are also coming off week 2 losses in which both teams scored week lows of 116 and 124 respectively. Having said that this should be a very competitive game between two very hungry squads in search for a week 3 win.

As always, GL guys and may the best teams win!

STICK A DICK IN IT!

WARNING:
DO NOT SCROLL DOWN IN THE PRESENCE OF KIDDIES

Darrin Woodson : STICK-A-DICK-IN-IT !

Some people really piss me off by misuderstanding the simplest of things. I'd like to recognize these ass-hats by awarding them with a bit of unwanted criticism. So without further adieu I present to you the "Stick-A-Dick-In-It" column.

In our first, of hopefully many, "Stick-A-Dick-In-It" weekly columns we recognize and celebrate the diarrhea of the mouth laden commentary of ESPN NFL analyst, Darrin Woodson.

He commented on the fine of $7500 given to T.Owens from the NFL for his video tape mocking of the Patriots recent "Spy-gate" scandal by saying,"T.O. is being picked on." and that the fine is the result of a "double-standard". He continued by questioning C.Johnson's H.O.F. jacket celebration adding,"why wasn't he fined?"

Although he seems to be a bright individual he also seemingly displays a difficulty in reading and/or understanding the english written word. How else can you explain his confusion?

Well, allow me to help you my non-investigative analyst friend. Heres a hint, Darrin: Try reading the fucking rules you moron!

In a vote of 29-3, the owners gave officials power to penalize a team 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff for excessive celebrations on the field. One area that remains in play, though, is the sidelines. Mike Pereira, the league's supervisor of officials, said if sidelines become the next area of excessive celebration, the competition committee would address it next winter.

The rulesmakers also outlawed using the ball as a prop. Even Owens displayed his difficulty in grasping the english written word and the grammer that accompanies it by stating,"It's kind of hard to understand the rules. It's like you can't do nothing no more." In a surprising twist Owens followed up his ebonics with a comment that seemed almost poignantly regrettable, "Nothing's worth getting a fine for," he said. Wow, who saw that one coming.

Owens clearly utilized the ball as a prop on the field while Chad celebrated without the ball on the sidelines. End of story.
In summary, check yore self before you wreck yore self next time, Darrin.by knowing what the fuck you're talking about .
Or better yet next time,

(Last year the RahStahs and Bonecrushers both started 3-0 but only the 'Crushers went on to win in week 4 to extend the season opening winning streak to 4-0 before losing to the Mustangs in week 5). In a bit of irony the Bonecrushers start this year 0-2 and stand to spoil the 'Canes attempt to be the only team to start both seasons 3-0 as both teams square off this Sunday. Coincidently, the Gangsters who are attempting to join the 'Canes, Rahs and Crushers as the only ever 3-0 starters must go through the RahStahs (1-1) this week to do so. The KGBs attempt at 3 weeks of perfection will have to be done by defeating last weeks hi-scorer, the Baltimore Bastards (1-1) who put up 199.53.
Week 3 at a glance, next!

Week 2

The second week of league play brings another round of intra-division matchups. The importance of division records were seen in the playoffs when they were used to determine a couple of participants last year. Good luck to you all in your "more important than your average week" game, gentlemen. Here's to a great day of fantasy play.

CENTRAL

Biloxi Hurricanes vs. Miller Highlifes - with the 'Canes at 1-0 and Miller at 0-1 its the same scenario as the other Central game.

Don't cry, it's only week 1

One down and twelve more to go.
No time for getting upset just yet. Week 1 is in the books which leaves us 12 more weeks before the KFFL II playoffs begin. A lot of time in no time at all. Game on!
* Our returning champion Radwasters continued their winning ways by taking down the Bastards 166.78 - 128.87. Leading the way for the Champs was the Minn D/ST which scored 1/4 (42/166) of their overall points. In a losing effort the Bastards ,who missed the playoffs last year by the slimmest of margins, were lead by RB B.Westbrook & WR S.Smith, both of whom scored 20.
* Year one's runner-up, the Biloxi Hurricanes, also picked up a win with a 138.11 - 102.98 score over last years no.5 seed Mustangs. Not suprizingly, LT led the way for the 'Canes with a nice count of 33.98 points while the Mustangs were led by second year man J.Addai who put up a slightly nicer 34.
* Last years bronze medal winner, the Gangsters, squeeked by the Desert Spawn 143.56 - 138.43. Top scorer for the Gangsters wasn't S.Jackson, R.Bush, or R.Johnson. Nope. It was WR A.Johnson with 29.93 points. Across the field Desert Spawn was led by the gimped up E.Manning who knocked out 53 big ones before excusing himself in the 2ndH of his Sunday night matchup.
* Just missing a piece of one of the top 3 cash prizes by losing in round two of the playoffs, the RahStahs lost once more 158.19 - 179.06 to the revamped Hounds. Out in front for the losing RahStahs was rookie A.Peterson who topped all backs with 40 points. The Hounds boasted three players with 30 or more points and of the three the top dog was none other than T.Brady who tallied 37.5.
*The final playoff participant from last year, the 6th seeded Bonecrushers lost week 1's closest game 135.61 - 138.09 to the L.U.S.. High scorer for the 'Crushers was the Seattle D/ST who put up 27.05 points and the L.U.S. were led by two steeltown cogs who put up 30+. Standing tallest of them was BigBens total of 36.50 points.
*The reigning Consolation winning Miller High Lifes started their season on a low note by losing to the KGB, 138.65 - 181.92. The SD D/ST led the way for Miller with a 24.85 total while the KGB were led by the Manning not hurt this week, Mr SNL himself, Peyton who produced 37.4.

Unlike the borderline ridiculous BCSS the KFFL championship cannot be lost in week 1 so theres no worries for week 1 losers ... as long as they dont continue to lose.
Keep plowing forward men, week 2 is next!

Week 1 - SMOKIN'!

Week 1 is going to be smoking hot!!!

With keepers locked, at this point teams may begin trade talks involving draft rounds and players not protected by the keeper rule.
Pre-draft trade guidelines are pretty straight forward.

-Trading one draft pick for one player straight up is just that. Team A gives up a draft pick in order to obtain a player from another teams roster that is not protected by the keeper rule. Receiving the draft pick, Team B surrenders their 18th round pick since they will have their 18 man roster filled by the 17th round.
-Trading two draft picks for one player. Team A gives up two draft picks for one player from Team B. Since all teams must have 18 players and no more to a roster Team A will make up one of the two rounds they gave up by drafting a player in the "19th" round. This means any teams that gave up two or more draft picks for one player will make up a missing roster spot(s) after all teams have completed drafting their regulated 18 man rosters. Team B acquired two picks for one roster spot. Since no team can have more than 18 players Team B would surrender their 17th and 18th round picks since they will have filled their 18 man roster by round 16.

At this time I dont see a way for pre-draft trades to be proposed via the leagues site so all propositions should be made via e-mail between both parties. Once a trade is agreed upon BOTH parties must submit to me via e-mail the agreed upon trade. I will not move forward with any transaction unless I have BOTH owners "okay".

Pre-draft trades are a new twist to the ordinary rules of fantasy that adds another strategic angle to our league.
You'll notice that most of the plus side (playoff) teams designated three keepers while the remaining teams kept two or less. This is not surprising since the plus side teams logically had the more prolific point producers than the remaining teams did.

Justifiably the losing teams have more valuable rounds to deal with than the winning teams. This helps further promote the possibilty of parity within the league.
The pre-draft trade deadline (subject to change) is Sun. Sept. 2nd @ 12 am EST (midnight on Sat.).
Keepers and draft picks will be entered into the system and the remaining rosters expunged 24 hours before the draft date.
Remember to get the most value from your trade by exploring all the possibilities. Why trade for a second round pick when you could have received a first?
