| Just wanted to weigh in on this as I saw the question come up with the last selected player... Perhaps it's something we want to look at for future rules, but I have read and re-read the rules for the Michigan Leagues and there is nothing in there that would prohibit an owner from drafting an eligible free agent, regardless of when they were dropped. The closest thing we have to this situation in the language of the rules comes during weekly transactions. Even in that case (see below), we allow players dropped on Wednesday to be picked up during Saturday waivers. "The next two rounds of weekly transactions will take place on SATURDAY at 1 p.m. EST. Free agents will again be awarded to teams on a worst-to-first basis (record, total points, power ranking). Please note-- Players dropped on WEDNESDAY night ARE eligible to be added during the second transaction processing event on SATURDAY afternoon." Thanks, Kirk |
