| Seeing as it's been an eventful day. I figure I will post a topic I have been sitting on for a while now... http://football19.myfantasyleague.com/2007/options?L=30652&O=69 While I normally try to keep my opinion fairly nuetral, I will be honest that I strongly favor option #1. I just don't want to box ourselves in before we know how much we like or dislike the auction format and, as previously stated, I am personally no longer in favor of any kind of keeper format regardless what we do in 2009 after seeing how much more exciting the trading has been this year without any keeper implications. *Mike and Super, please do not vote. *Shane and Super, please vote together with Shane's vote. I have flagged the vote to let us know who voted which way. In the future, I am likely to do this on all votes. Since there are no time contraints, the vote will expire next Wednesday at 8pm. | I like the idea of having the auction next year with no keepers. This will be new for a lot of us, and will give us a chance to get our feet wet in an auction without screwing your team up for 2-3 years if you make a mistake. However, there is so many things we can do with keepers in an auction that could make the league very interesting (for example, maybe you could only keep players that you paid $1 for the previous year, and they would count $10 or maybe your keepers would have to increase in salary by 50%). There are so many things we could do. So no matter what way this vote goes, after the auction next year we should brainstorm some of these options before we vote on how to handle the league in successive years. |

| If we go the auction/keeper then auction route, I completely agree. Right now I think if option two wins we'd get through the draft next year and then decide if we want to do an auction keeper in 2009 or a standard keeper (similar to past years) based on what we thought of the auction as a whole. | |

| Well, I'd say that vote was fairly overwhelming. 2008 will be an experimental year. We will not be tied to any format for 2009 and we can completely revisit the topic (sometime next year) after we have gone thought an auction. | |
