| Owners, A situation has risen that needs to put to a league vote. I ask that you please read this post and any additional posts before you vote, as both sides of the issue need to presented. The results from one of the games in Week 1 is being disputed by an owner(Team A). He believes that another owner (Team B) was allowed to make an illegal roster change that affected the outcome of the game. As you all remember, we left the draft with an open roster spot. Team B had a player who played in the Thursday night game that opened the season, he had not yet submitted a lineup prior to kickoff Thursday night, therefore that player was not available to him that week. Team B added a player to his roster on Saturday morning and was able to use that player in Sundays game. The points that player scored was the difference in the game. Here are the reasons why Team A believes that the roster change was not valid: 1. For the last several years, roster changes have been performed by emailing Paul on Tue, Wed, & Thur. On Friday, you are allowed to pickup and drop whomever you wish by midnight Friday. We have never allowed roster changes on Sat, Sun, or Mon. 2. The original post on this message board entitled "New Season" has this line: "Everybody still has 1 open roster slot. And the first week, there will not be free for all transactions on Friday, so send them to me by Thursday night". It is assumed that the reason for this is because of the game Thursday night. Like any transaction, an email was sent from the league web site showing that this player was added on Saturday morning. Again, please read all posts on the subject before voting, and feel free to post questions if you feel you need more information regarding the situation. Thanks, Vince |
