The Rookies were led to their 0.60 point victory by a 27.90 point effort from Kurt Warner, who got by the St. Louis Rams defense for 300 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 19 rushing yards. With this performance, Warner was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 17. They also got help from a 14.20 point effort from Braylon Edwards, who snuck past the San Francisco 49ers defense for 67 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"It wasn't pretty but we'll take it," The Rookies coach Dave Jordan said.

Cougs were helped out in a losing cause by a 19.00 point effort from the San Diego Chargers Defensive Team. With this performance, the Chargers was the number 2 ranked defensive team for week 17. They also got help from a 14.00 point effort from Warrick Dunn, who snuck past the Seattle Seahawks defense for 70 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 10 receiving yards.

"We didn't match their intensity," Cougs coach Justin Collyer said.

Compounding the issue, Cougs could have scored 89.20 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Justin Collyer left key players like Zach Miller and his corresponding 16.40 points on the bench.

The Rookies took advantage of their schedule this week, as their point total would have gone for a loss against 20 out of 22 other potential opponents in week 17.

This brings the record for The Rookies to 5-13, and drops Cougs to a record of 6-12.
