(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 24, 2007) In a week 16 Zealots Field 40 battle, Dallas Cowboys beat a strong Seattle Seahawks team by a score of 167.16 to 137.67, extending the losing streak for Seattle Seahawks to 6 games.
Dallas Cowboys were led to their 29.49 point victory by a 27.10 point effort from Brandon Jacobs, who beat the Buffalo Bills defense for 145 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 6 receiving yards. With this performance, Jacobs was the number 2 ranked running back for week 16. They also got help from a 26.86 point effort from David Garrard, who snuck past the Oakland Raiders defense for 199 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 19 rushing yards.
"You dream about this as a kid," Dallas Cowboys coach Cedric Powell said.
Seattle Seahawks were helped out in a losing cause by a 22.20 point effort from Jerricho Cotchery, who beat the Tennessee Titans defense for 152 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Cotchery was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 21.60 point effort from Laurence Maroney, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 156 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.
"Turnovers killed us," Seattle Seahawks coach Bryon Smith said.
Adding salt to the wound, Seattle Seahawks could have scored 180.87 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Bryon Smith left key players like Kevin Walter and his corresponding 13.90 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Dallas Cowboys to 4-9, and drops Seattle Seahawks to a record of 3-10.
