(FFToolbox) On Tuesday, Arizona Republic columnist Kent Somers said that no matter how much Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin wants to play and tries to tough it out on Sundays, the Cardinals should do the smart thing and sit him for his own good. In the column, Somers quotes head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who hints that he is considering holding Boldin out of the team's week nine game versus Chicago. Boldin suffered a right ankle sprain against the Houston Texans on Oct. 11 and limped through the next three games. He aggravated the injury in the third quarter last Sunday in a loss to the Carolina Panthers and didn't return. Analysis: Whisenhunt has praised Boldin's toughness over the past few weeks, but acknowledged that forcing Boldin to take a week off is an option. That's the only way he is going to heal and I think it would be a smart move. Boldin said this week that if he is even 80 percent healthy, he will play. Of course, that's not his decision to make. With a pretty solid receiver in Steve Breaston waiting to step in for Boldin, I hope that Whisenhunt makes the right decision and sits Boldin. It will hurt fantasy teams in the short term, but will help both your team and the Cardinals in the long run.
