(FFChamps) Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin has tried playing through his right ankle injury the last two weeks, but left in the third quarter of yesterday's game against the Panthers and did not return. "The one issue we had going into the game was if he took a shot on that ankle," head coach Ken Whisenhunt told the Arizona Republic. "As low of probability of that happening, it did happen." The Cardinals official web site reports Boldin may not play in Week 9 as a result.

Analysis: Boldin has had the toughness to try to play through a high ankle sprain for two weeks, but the Cards may decide to shut him down for at least one game. This is the type of injury that typically sidelines a wide receiver or running back four-to-six weeks so it is not surprising that he is struggling to play on it.
