| I sent out an email last week that prompts discussion about league rule setting. First on the list is the league fees and payouts (prizes). I need to know from each of you that you are receiving these emails. Some might be being filtered by junk mail filters. Please respond to this email and let me know that you ARE getting the emails.... and if you ARE getting them, I need some feedback as to the content and direction of the league... I am posting this on the MFFL website for our league as well... so if you are somehow not informed as to what we are doing, please set up your email so that you will receive email from the MFFL Atomic Curtain League site. It is important that you respond to the emails regarding rule setting... |

| We need to declare a winner based on the original agreement as we set forth when we first started this league last August. The original agreement was for a points based winner- and we will operate in those parameters as that is what we said we would do. Even though some of you may be out of the playoffs, if your points are still important to you (some of you are very close to your next higher "opponent") then you may still submit your teams roster for week 14... For the most part, it will be inconsequential what happens with points for the overall scheme when it comes to who wins the season. But, for some of you that are close to your opponents (Jake 18 behind Servos; Ray 35 behind Adam; Ken 31 behind Ray; Oney 41 behind Ken; and Todd, 18 behind Jacque) it might be important to you how the next week plays out. So, obviously, for those still in the playoffs, they will have their "shot" at increasing their position-as do you who are not in the playoffs. The points will accumulate for your starters. So, if you have a team that is NOT in the playoffs and want to submit a team roster for this week, plug in your roster. For the overall winner, however, I feel it is VERY safe to call Joe the winner.... So congrats to Joe on putting together an EXCELLENT team, and scouting the details well... He is our "official" 2006 ACL Champion!!! |

| Please READ!!! First- for simplicity and for the remainder of the year, waiver and free agent pickup rules have been reverted back to "Yahoo" standards. This should alleviate any concerns over the fairness of the move in the middle of a points based race- as well as your ability to be competitive each week in the head to head schedule- so that we can just focus on this league for now and not have to worry about such things. I figure that if this is to be a "pay to play" league next year, it is only fair to postpone implementation of those aspects of this site until the "payers" have had a chance to discuss and evaluate. Also, as stated, it will help smooth out the move over to the new site, since that is kind of a big leap without adding more confusion. Second, I will be preparing (over the next week or so) an explanation of how Blind Bid Waivers and Free Agent pickup periods overlap and help serve certain purposes. This will have some diagrams. In the end, you all may just say "hooey!" and not want any of it. I would fight for some degree of it so we can maintain some fairness and high degree's of competition. And lastly, I am implementing the "waiver" priority and system from Yahoo into this new system, for now. It will reflect the waiver listing from Yahoo as it was/is, and will "rotate" just like that one did.... To "pick" a recently dropped player that is locked on waivers, go to "For Owners > Waivers" and find/select the player prior to him being released back to FCFS free agency. |

| First- in light of the poll results, all I can say is that the sentiment seems to be that moving here and finishing out here is the preferred approach. That being said, I wanted to stipulate that this move in no way is intended to change the raning system that we had discussed at the beginning of the year. The intent was a points based champion, and I believe that we should honor our committment and stick with that. So whoever winds up winning the playoff bracket this year is, that will be (this year only) secondary to the points team. Next year, I propose we do what the other league does- pay out to play (around $25 a head?) and have a league trophy (cheapie) and $25 prizes for league champ (playoff bracket); high points; divisional champs.... balance goes to website cost and ($69 if we get in cheap)... and I will pay the $19 balance out of my pocket. The move to the new league was meant to do a few things. Give you all some feel for head to head- give you a feel for what a private/keeper/college draft/dynasty/salary league looks like- and to give me a chance to run some "test" scenarios in the new system so that I/we can be best prepared to continue here next year. It was also intended to try to infuse some more fun back into the league, since I believe that was missing. Head to head definitely provides far more excitement, I would say. Plus, a keeper/salary/dynasty/college raft/NFL FA draft based on previous year's record gives everyone a lot more to play for all year long. You can even trade away draft picks. That all being said, play both league if you want- I can't guaratnee everyone will. I will do what I can with that other team (yahoo), but my focus will be here. It doesn't take much in the other league anyway, time wise. Also- please be engaged. There are a lot of things that are going to be discussed in the coming weeks- rules that will be developed or next year; things to vote on; etc... Please read the emails, AND the articles on the site (sometimes redundant- but sometimes not). And post where you can to let your opinion be known. |

| I am trying to work on getting some good quality helmets in place. I would like them to be uniform in size and background, so the site looks clean.
I will be working on new ones for everyone, and and I said, let me know you want or like- colors on helmet/facemask, and the logo. Check from time to time what I have set up and let me know if you are ok with it. Now that I have some in place, feel free to email me anytime to tell me what you would like on your helmet (logo); the color of the helmet; color of the facemask... I will work on it with you until we have something you really like... |
