Yes the 2007 TBFL site is up and running...(It looks a whole lot like the 2006 site...if it ain't broke...). There should be a big box with a link to it at the top of this 2006 page. If not click this link: 2007 Homepage to get there.Your ability to post messages and such on THIS board has been stripped, so go to the new board now... |

From the Desk of A. J. Beveridge, Vice President of Football Operations....Armed N Dangerous In contemplation of the coming season, AnD has released their entire roster, except for Tony Romo. It was a very difficult decision, but since Tony was dating Carrie Underwood late last season, he gets brownie points with the President of Football Operations. He will therefore be kept on the roster. However, before anything is official with the league, we will need to know when this crap is due. Any ideas? I mean, it's July already. I'm jonesin' ova here. Please Shannon, give me something, throw me a frickin bone....give me somethin'!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhh, crap, is it September yet?

Armed N Dangerous would like to announce that MVP candidate LaDanian Tomlinson has elected to test the Free Agent market next year, and while he enjoyed being a part of AnD this year, wants to get paid! Due to league restrictions, AnD will not be able to offer him a contract until the other 11 teams have a chance to offer him a contract. It is not expected that LT will make it to the 12th pick. We congratulate him on a phenominal season, and wish him well as he will most likely join Money Inc or the Outlaws next season. AnD would like to thank everyone except the Warriors for the fun season. Since the Warriors gave AnD their only loss this season, AnD would like to announce that next year's game between the Warriors and AnD will be the first T&A night of the season at Browning Stadium. If the league sees fit to schedule the game at the Warriors, AnD will provide transporation for any topless female fan from Charlotte to the game, and will thus be a TnT night (Transportation N Tits). We must and will avenge this loss. Beloved President of Football Operations has announced that while he is recovering from "Howthefuckdidwelosesobad" on schedule, he wants to retire. He will be attending President Ford's funeral this weekend, and will hand the reins over to someone else upon his return. Owner, Michael Miller has not announced a successor, although a search is currently under way. Enjoy the offseason!

After quite an spirted win over those Thrashers last week, UO will set it sights and head into the playground to face the Jedi Knights. While Seattle D and Josh Brown where no where to be found on Thursday night, we did see Frank Gore pick up the slack and carry the UO team on his back into the weekend. With some big names still yet to play, we are poised to send the Knights home for the rest of the season. While the Dolphin D stepped up big last week, UO will be looking to Cinny's D to not get blown out of the stadium against P Manning. Either way, I hope the Knights come prepared. UO's will be announcing it's starting QB later this week, but Rex Grossman has been seen taking an increasing number of snaps with the first team O. I would like to formally welcome Coach Riley and Coach Beveridge to the sidelines this week, as we are short 2 water boys. Maybe there will be room next week for the Miller Coaches.

In a re-match of Week 10, Armed N Dangerous is proud to host the MauRAIDERS in the second round of the playoffs. We look forward to a spirited contest, and one that we hope will give the fans many things to enjoy. To that end, Armed N Dangerous, who has never hosted a playoff game before, is announcing that this weekend's playoff game will in fact be the third T&A night of the year. To honor the teams accomplishments this year, AnD would like to thank their fans by offering yet one more Tits and Ammo night. All women who come to the game topless, will receive one box of ammunition with their paid attendence. Browning Stadium should be filled with a tremendous crowd, and it is our intention to make the stadium the most feared place to play for opposing teams. With this fan appreciation offer, we believe it will become just that!

I would like to formally thank Tom Brady on a great day of passing, as he help UO pass right by those Thrashers formally ending their season. Terry Glenn stepped up big, sealing the victory in Brokeback Stadium. Vince Young also was seen celebrating his first FF win, as he dedicated it to Mr. Heston. Guess those two losses to the Thashers earlier in the season did not amount to much after all. I will make sure to send Tom Brady my regards.

Hey Thrasher, I'm sorry but my son, AJ Beveridge is in charge of content for my league, he must be editing my posts there......probably doesn't want to offend anyone with naked women pictures, since we all know how sensitive you are to that. Enjoy your game this week as Playground and AnD get to rest for whoever survives this week.....

Simply go to playoff grid, then go to the rulebook and figure out the tiebreakers..... UO will be headed to Brokeback Stadium today, to face your team. While Marauders will head to the home of the Warriors to play whoever is left un-injured for Coach Rileys team. (Can he even field a team?) A&D and Playground Kids will have the byes.

With games starting tomorrow, does anyone see where we can lookup the actual playoff match-ups. I have figured them myself, but I want to know if I am right or not. Is there a place to look that I am not seeing? Also, do I have to put a naked picture up...or is that just for the homopobic person in the league? The funny thing about that is, is that A&D is called Goriilla Warfare in his league and HAS NEVER PLACED A NAKED PICTURE UP THERE. Instead it is always pictures of apes, gorillas, and monkeys....Isn't the where the AIDs epidemic started in the first place?? Hum...Who's GAY???

I would like to send a special thank you to Mr. Cutler, and Josh Brown on booting a last second field goal to put me into the playoff's. It is also quite sad that I will most likely have to head to Brokeback stadium and face the Thrashers, as I have the 2nd best wild card record. But since by rule, the 3rd seed goes to those squirrly Warriors, I guess the storm division will have to face off against each other again. I did notice that those Thrashers have a much tougher player match up this time around. Also, while Mr. Bulger has done an quite a job at guiding UO this season, we are looking to Vince Young this weekend to get the starting nod. Vince was quoted that he will be dedicating his first win to Mr. Heston, as he models his life around bitches and guns.

News from Thrasher headquarters reports that the Thrashers will probally take this weekend off and rest all of their starters. As the GM has gone over the league rules, he realizes that even with the second best record and a clean sweep over all playoff teams with the exception of league leading A&Queerboy that they can be no better than a 4th seed entering the playoffs. Thus with little to play for they may look to the future this week and give backups Campbell, Jacobs, and Norwood a look. In addition Curtis, Clark and Watson may see some extended work heading into the playoffs. After all, why shoot our wad early and lay an egg in the playoffs..something, I'm willing to bet will happen to A&D this year. After all, what would you expect from a team led by a Homo...I mean Romo!!
By Armed N Dangerous on Tue Nov 28 5:46:08 p.m. ET 2006
---
Just to clarify, I knew I had a big lead going into Monday night, BUT, UO had Alexander (who was having a big day) Driver, who caught a long TD and Brown (4 FG's in the 2 1/2 quarters). I didn't know if it would hold up, as they kept adding point after point. Just for spite, I think I will spank Mr. Thrasher this weekend.

Yes the rule is correct that we cannot pick-up a player who was drafted in rounds 1-3 after Week 10 - it was originally an anti-collusion measure - not that I think that happened here - the new software jsut doesn't let me lock those players out. I have reversed the waiver on AND's roster.

Even though you are a cheater (j/k), I still hope you win this week. Too bad the Storm Divison has to play each other and spare the rest of the league from here on out. I think for punishment, A&D should have to have its week 13 matchup at Brokeback stadium and allow the Thrashers to keep their ban any female cheerleaders or naked women on the sideline. All in favor?

I just rejoined the league this year, and do not have a current copy of the rules. I picked him up, and then asked the commish to clarify his status for next year. I didn't want to ask before I picked him up. If the rules state that I can't pick him up, then I will drop him next week and pick up someone else. In other keeper leagues, he would have value next year as a pickup. But if I am prohibited from picking up an injured or 1-3 rd player, I will drop him next week....and thus have a useless roster spot for the week.

A recent report has surface which shows that A&D has violated 2 league rules by aquiring Clinton Portis this week. The rules in questions would be clearly outlined in the TBFL league rules: (10e) Teams are prohibited from acquiring (although waiving is permitted) a #1, #2, or #3 draft selection after the expiration of the Week #10 transaction deadline through the playing of the Fantasy Bowl. (10f) Teams are prohibited from acquiring any player that is currently injured, suspended, or not currently on the active roster of any NFL team. Mr. Portis was both a number 1 draft pick and also injured for the season. I hearby motion for A&D to face stiff consequences for not only not following the rules, but also making a bone head play by picking up a player who is worthless the remainder of the season.

---
While I applaud the Playground Jedi's for taking their first step to coming public with their recent post, I have to say since they were ambiguous, I must once again clarify. Since the owner of AnD lives in "California", the "Brokeback" lifestyle would be considered acceptable....ask new Speaker Nancy Pelosi...if the owner was in fact gay, he would have no problem acknowledging that. Look at recent celebs you have outed themselves....Doogie Howser (his recent TV show and Harold & Kumar movie showed a tremendous range for a gay dude), some guy on N'Sync (yeah like we didn't know that), and some guy on Grey's Anatomy (don't watch the show, but if you aren't chasing down the fine doctor women on that show, you must be gay). So in short, since AnD would have no problem acknowledging if he was gay because of it's acceptance in his new society, and since many of you know how he dresses (clearly not fashionable), has no eye for decorating, and doesn't care for Bette Midler or Elton John, he is not gay.....not that there's anything WRONG with that.......sorry for disappointing you Jedi. I know you were looking for someone to play with your Swartz.....

For immediate release: First off, in response to the Bay Area Thrashers recent communication bad mouthing the UO Franchise, we are extremely disheartened. The Thrashers have proven time and time again, they have no commitment to excellence and will resort to flying off the handle when faced with any adversity. Also, you chose not to start Steve Smith in your week 3 matchup with UO, however he had 18 points on your bench. While I cannot comment on any future stadium plans, I did hear leaked plans of a "Brokeback Bowl" for his week 13 match up with A&D. I am not sure if Mr. Heston will approve the additional ticket requests for the Thrashers fans. I am sure we will hear more to come.

Armed N Dangerous, with their "Greatest Mouth on the Internet" show will be travelling to the first of three Division games, going to the Brewmasters. As many of you know, the Brewmasters are full of top-notch talent, and should prove to be a worry opponent. Brees, Barber, Jackson will be tough matchups, we just hope our Defense is up to the task. Armed N Dangerous would like to return the nicety that UO bestowed on them last week, by wishing them best of luck, as they take on the Bay Area Thrashers, who it looks like, is finally healthy. We wish no bad blood to UO, in fact we wish them the best, Reggie and Hines send their love.

Armed N Dangerous would like to thank both Jedi Knights and UO Grandmasters on their recent tidings. While we appreciate the support of our fellow owners, it was hard for us to take the comment from UO. While we were able to find the right type of players (Reggie Wayne and Hines Ward) that fit our team, the talented players in Berrian and Glenn should not be referred to as busted. While they did not fit our team, UO was certainly happy with their performances before their unexpected injury problems. It saddens us to hear that they somehow blame AnD for these injuries, but also shows their ignorance on blaming things on people who had nothing to do with it. Oh, and thank you to the Mauraders for a good clean fight.

Press Release from the Public Relations Department: Armed N Dangerous It is with regret that we announce that our beloved Charlton has been hospitalized. Charlton is recovering from what the doctors called "Howthefukdidwelosetheelectionsobad". It is a common ilness that swept the Southern United States recently. Thankfully, since the owner is in California he has been away from the outbreak. Rumor has it, since the Gropenator won re-election, owner Michael Miller had at least one pleasant thought Tuesday evening. Evidently, one pleasant thought can prevent "Howthefukdidwelosetheelectionsobad". Mr. Heston will be resting comfortably until Nancy Pelosi introduces the first gun control bill of the next Congress. Then he will get back on his feet, grab his gun, and go to Washington. No comment on when he might be back in the office running football operations again. Armed N Dangerous would like to announce the naming of AJ Beveridge as the new acting President of Football Operations. While he is only 20 months old, and currently living with Bay Area Thrasher's owner Kevin Beveridge, he will run the operations of Armed N Dangerous for his father, Michael Miller. His first action will be to crap in his diaper! Which sums up the Thrashers play last week.

| UPDATE.....RNT Head Coach Axl Throse has confirmed that multiple TBFL teams have flooded the communication lines inquiring about the recently announced availability of Rams Stud RB Steven Jackson. RNT has not garnished such league-wide attention all year, until now.(With the exception of their weekly opponents celebration of seeing the hapless RNT squad on their upcoming schedule.) | The Tampa Outlaws ownership is severely questioning the team’s existence at this point. The ownership is questioning some of the moves made by the General Manager. Outlaws Owner Hunter McGaughey was quoted as saying, "What the hell has happened? We used to be an elite team in this league and the last two seasons have been a nightmare. We were on par with some great dynasties of all-time, the 60s Packers, the 70s Steelers, the 80s Niners and the Outlaws of the late 90s and Early 2000s. This is unacceptable and changes will be made." Rumors are swirling that the team is looking to move the franchise but Mr. McGaughey would not confirm those reports. Mr. McGaughey announced that he is handling some of the player personal movement at this point and has placed several players on the trading block in a move to bolster the team. Upon that announcement General Manager Doug Williams announced that he would be leaving the team at the end of the season. |

GM Slash has announced that Head Coach Axl Throse is officially on the hot seat for RNT's pathetic showing this season. Axl wants to shake it up, and build for next year if possible. No one is untouchable at this point. Today Axl announced the teams plans to trade Rams RB Steven Jackson immediately, as Jackson will be a free agent next year after 3 seasons and (2 Super Bowls) with RNT. Please respond with any trade offers within next 72 hours, as Jackson will likely no longer be the property of RNT by this weekend. Jackson has been quoted as saying that he wants out now, and prefers to be traded to a contender. RNT in no way resembles a contender this year, so a trade is imminent. BEST OFFER LIKELY GETS JACKSON. RNT WILL CONSIDER ALL OFFERS, INCLUDING MANEUVERING OF DRAFT PICKS NEXT YEAR AND FUTURE KEEPER CONSIDERATIONS. Good Luck.

I would like to send out a big thank you to that Oakland Offensive line, which found a way to give up 9 sacks while scoring 0 pts. For this, I salute you! Those Brewmasters put up their best performance, but it sadly wasn't enough. Also, did anyone notice that without Mr. McNabb's 30 pts per game, those warriors are a nice 0 - 2? Another interesting stat, a quarter of the bandits divisons wins are at the expense of those Warriors. I would also like to know who on earth voted that the bandit divison is the toughest divison out there... By tough they didn't mean 14 and 22 with 3 sub 500 teams, did they? Might I point out that the Storm divison has a record of 17 and 7 against the other two divisons.... I rest my case.

now that the weekly porno show is over...on to other topics.... With the bye weeks over he are some numbers to consider, in regards to a previous poll question (points per recpetion for all.) Currently, there are 18 WRs over 100 points and another 10 who are in the 90s. As opposed to 9 HBs and 5 others who are in the 90s. This does not include tonights action. In addition, on average the top 18 WRs are scoring 154 points vs. 130 for RBs. Thus the addition points per reception for all would bring us closer to the whole point of the rule change...to balance things up. Which is the direction the vote was going towards anyway...just further food for thought.

After all, I wouldn't want you to be like Miller and pull out your gun and shoot me over a joke...then stand over my dead body and yell those immortal words...."from my cold dead hand!" Our gangbangers show up on Sunday, and kick the hell out of the competition, that's all we require. This Sunday, their friends/family get to load up on some free ammo as well. AnD didn't realize that the Thrashers were afraid of our T&A night. Or maybe it's just the naked women. You shouldn't be afraid of naked women, they are your friends. But if you ARE afraid of the naked women, not that there is anything wrong with that.....oh hell, there is something wrong with that. Don't be afraid of the naked women. The league has noticed the decided lack of female fans at Brokeback Stadium where the Thrashers play their home games. Just because the naked women may not be to your players liking, doesn't mean you have to be afraid of them..... |

| From the Desk of Who Gives A Rats Ass: You assume that I would even step foot into that hole you call a stadium. Hell, the whole league knows the only reason you have T&A nights is so you can draw in some fans. Half of them are homeless and none of them care about the gang bangers you put on the field or your over inflated record. Just wheel out some scank and some out dated beer and you're golden. But what else would you expect from that shrivled up owner you got. Are you sure he isn't dead. You know like some kind Weekend at Bernies type of thing. | From the Desk of Charlton Heston, President of Football Operations, Armed N Dangerous The second and final T&A night of the season is being held this weekend when the Bay Area Thrashers coming visiting Browning Stadium. It seems that the Thrashers may actually be healthy this weekend, and might have most of their starters ready, but alas not all. The Thrashers simply went off last weekend, and took Team of the Week honors away from us by only a few points. We look forward to our spirited matchup, but in the end, Steve Smith will not be enough to stop us. We will have fun spanking the Thrashers this weekend. We will spank them so hard, that they cry like a little girl. |

From the Desk of Charlton Heston, President of Football Operations, Armed N Dangerous We would like to thank Money Inc for the trip down memory lane...it was only 1 week ago I was in Tampa at the Mons, stuffing crumpled 1's into the G strings of young ladies. Thank you for letting us treat you the same way. It was a wonderful way to prepare for the scrimmage we have against Hunter and his Outlaws. Hunter, we are very sorry to see the league is making Kitna and Williams rest this week, as we would have enjoyed sacking/intercepting Kitna this week, and watching Roy complain about it. Oh well, Boldin, Rudi and Carr better bring their A+ game to Browning Stadium this weekend. I know the rest of the league is hoping you put up about 200 points on the board to shut my mouth, but if you did, I would just put up 201 to piss them off. Good luck without your Lions this weekend Hunter! And for god's sake, someone do something about McNabb.....

In response to Armed and Dangerous recent victory, I would like to send out my congrats. Obviously Rex Grossman will be riding the bench the remainder of the season, after his first start lead to a league high 6 turnovers and a season low output. Mr. Berrian also disappointed his teammates by putting out his lowest scoring game of the season. We will obviously have to rebound as we face the Warriors this weekend, and will be ready. When several UO players where asked this week who they where facing, they where unable to name any players on the opposition besides Donovan McNabb. We are excited to give Deion Branch his first start of the season, and are obviously looking forward to the return of SA. But that should not stop us from dishing out a little bit of ownage to Mr. Riley's team this weekend.

AnD would like to thank UO for the red carpet treatment this past weekend. The four interceptions and two fumbles by the Grandmaster QB was a nice added touch. We hold no ill will to either Terry Glenn or Bernard Berrian, they are both fine players, their skills and abilities just didn't fit what we were looking for. Having coached Terry for the past year and a half, and Bernard for the first part of the season, we knew what kind of coverages we could throw out there to slow them down. We certainly understand their frustrations in being traded from our fine organization to go to a division rival, but given time, we know they will get over it. Reggie Wayne and Hines Ward are over it, as they tasted sweet nectar after being on AnD as they man-handled the GrandMasters. Again, Spank you very much for the nice red carpet treatment Eric!

From the Desk of Charlton Heston, President of Football Operations, Armed N Dangerous Disappointing, disappointing is the word to describe our effort out there last week. The premier matchup of the year, congratulations to Coach Riley and the Warriors for their great gameplan and play, but we failed to bring it. If we don't get off the schnide soon, changes will be made. Obviously, last week we made some personnel changes to make our team better. That will be the start if we can't keep up the intensity each week. We are looking forward to travelling to San Francisco to meet UO for control of our division. Be prepared, Eric, the spank is coming. It's about time to come out of our scoring decline. LT is preparing for a big week, and TO has been licking his lips in anticipation of your corners.

I would like to begin by thanking AnD for the friendly invite to the Owner's Box at Browning Stadium. Browning Stadium is by far the class of the league with it's tenacious fan base and world renowned TnA nights. Also I would like to thank Mr. Miller for a very spirited game right down to the wire, thankfully my "D" stepped up in the end and handled their business! Finally I was able to avenge my MNF upset against the streaky SP Cows, when Dunn was completely shut down on the big show!! Finally I am looking forward my second outing against a tough division rival in the Tampa Outlaws, I know Coach Hunter always brings a bag o' tricks when the Warriors come to town!!

Thank you so much, the beer and pretzels at half time made the game much more enjoyable. To the Warriors, we will welcome you to Browning Stadium with open arms. Matchups like this don't come along very often. The 3-1 Warriors can certainly put up some points. They have a solid QB, 2 solid WR's, and a stable of running backs that will be hard to match. We look forward to providing the game of the week for the rest of the TBFL. I would like to invite owner Mike Riley up to the owners box for the game for some spirited trash talking in the Chad Johnson, everything's in good fun way..... |

From the Desk of Charlton Heston, President of Football Operations, Armed N Dangerous We welcomed the opportunity to meet the Brewmasters last week, and while they almost put up a spirited contest, they sure were a nice and sportsmanlike team. We were damn proud to whoop up on them. To our opponent this week, Dookie is it? We will certainly try to get Terrell on some Zolof or something so he doesn't try to kill himself. Obviously, he is quite afraid of you. We have put him in counseling. He must read at least 2 chapters of his own book before taking his vitamins/supplements/pain meds. He will be so full of himself after reading those chapters, he will not think about killing himself again. LT, Glenn and maybe TO are back this week. Things are looking up for AnD. We look forward to sparing with Dookie this Sunday. Please leave a nightlight on for us, we wouldn't want to scare TO!

I didn't even watch the game assuming a 6 point lead would never be enough to hold off Warrick Dunn. Oh what a sweet surprise this morning to learn that the Mighty Saints Defense has changed my fate from 2 games back to the Bandit Division lead. | When the rule idea was presented, I had not done the reasearch yet - it sounded like a good way to balance the weight off the RB's so I was all for it. When I started to actually prepare for the draft and compare the last two years stats against the new ruleset, I was kind of shocked with the data I was seeing and drafted accordingly. I think my data was right, and we are seeing that play out. We basically took the value of the 2nd and 3rd tier RB's and lowered it too much against the 3rd and 4th tier WR's. Adding Point per Reception across the board will make guys like Tomlinson true fantasy gods, but it will make those 3rd down backs that get good reception totals be viable again compared to the third string WR's they really can't touch right now. Lesson learned, and next year we will be the better for it... |

And of course, with those players doing that well......still not getting Team of the Week honors......I mean the Throwser gave me a hell of a scare there for a while. He had Plax, I had the Toomer, all we were missing was Eli, and we would have had a Giant party going on. It does seem to make receivers a bit more useful, and I don't see a lot of rhino anymore...... When I first heard about the receptions, I thought it was everyone got the reception total. At the end of the year, I would like to see how that would change the point totals. I really don't want to vote just yet, as we only have 2 games to go on. Next week when Toomer gets me 3 points it will average down pretty quickly.
By Bay Area Thrashers on Tue Sep 19 1:37:41 p.m. ET 2006

Please keep in mind, I am not against the current rule...I just thought we should look at this over the course of the year...but once I heard about the rule I quickly saw how WRs COULD dominate like RBs use too...and if we are looking to balance this may be the way to do it. I held my vote cause I'd like to see it over more weeks, as it may be too early to specualte. There is just something wrong when Toomer has 137 yards and 2 TDs compaired to Tomlinson's 120 combined yards and 2 TDs of his own but still get out scored by 13 points. And I think we all can agree when those 2 players are on the SAME TEAM it really sucks!!!! Damm you A&D!!!! I've won the Storm Division Championship 3 straigth years and then you come back looking to ruin my run!!! Sorry..had an off topic rant there. Anyway, it was just a food for thought question to be looked at over time. That's all I was trying to say. Probally could have said it quicker...but oh well, it's fantasy talk and all fantasy talk is good talk. Unless there is a Charlton Heston blurb in there. Isn't he dead yet??

Amendment to origional post: BTW (and not that it would have mattered for me) but WRs are WAY over powered now!!! The rule should be 1 pt per reception for all players....if you are trying to balance WRs and RBs...food for thought for next year. |

Armed N Dangerous is proud to announce that this weekend is this year's "T&A" Tits and Ammo night. Those women in attendance topless, get a free 50 pack of the ammo of their choice. President of Football Operations, Charlton Heston remarked, "After a year away from the TBFL, we are excited about restoring such a hallmark of the TBFL. Everyone looks forward to the T&A night at Browning Stadium." AnD looks to build on their solid performance from last week, by hopefully not needing 25 points out of their defense to secure a victory. With LT and TO each scoring 20, and the defense getting 25, it's hard to see that kind of scoring again from three people. However, if TO can keep playing, and not jawing, AnD should have a chance to do well against Runs & Throwes. Shawn's team is a respectable, but very beatable team. We look forward to the challenge, but ultimately, LT will roll, and well, R&T will go down. So let it be written, so let it be done!
