Championship Weekend
Ok, let me start off with a little rant.  Some people in the Fantasy Football world believe it is useless to play the Championship game in Week 17.  With the way the NFL plays today with the teams being so close to one another and the division races as close as they are, then I disagree.  Our Championship game produced 300 points with two players scoring over 40 points and one with 38.  Ok, let's get to the games.  Freight Trains vs Bandits.  Would the Freight Trains become the first time to win 3 straight Championships or would the Bandits become the first 5 time Champion?  We would have to bill this game as the Clash of Champions!  If Tiki played his final game for the Giants in the regular season plus his final game for the Freight Trains, then he went out with a BANG!  He ran wild over the Skins and produced 46 points.  At the start of Sunday's game, the Freight Trains had a 64 point lead.  LJ ran wild over the Jags and in the final afternoon games, the Freight Trains still had 30 point lead.  I wonder if the Bandits miss the Manning-Harrison connection?  Manning, Brown, Boldin and Heap played their hearts out for the Bandits and at the end of Sunday's afternoon games.  The Freight Trains now had a lead of only 13 points.  The Bandits had Gould left who has been Gold for him!  When Grossman gets rattled then he falls apart!  He got rattled by the Packers and thanks to Brian Griese the Bears scored!  Gould didn't get the opportunties and THE KC FREIGHT TRAINS become the FIRST THREE TIME CHAMPIONS!!!!  Just a side note, Mike now you got to send Tiki Barber something since he got you those 3 Titles!  For third place, OC vs Mexico City.  This wasn't the game Mexico wanted to be in, but hey you get a trophy.  I was really going to make fun of OC, but hey when your QB goes down, then you don't have much of a chance when your other players don't do much.  In a landslide, Mexico gets the Trophy.  Who wants to be the PANSY MAN??  Jets vs Patriots.  Hey, this is the NFL matchup for next week.  Will it have the same results?  No embrassment here, PATRIOTS get the PANSY MAN trophy!

Playoffs Week 2
Week 2 of the Playoffs was an exciting one!  OC vs Bakersfield.  Would this be another shoot-out?  OC picked up Old Man Isaac Bruce who turned in a solid performance.  The man they have relied on throughout the season, LT, didn't produce the numbers he has in the past and Bakersfield advances to the Title game.  Mexico has been on a roll and now they stood in the way of the Two Time Champs quest for a third title. One of their best WR, Steve Smith, let the team down.  Freight Trains go for their Third Title.  In the Pansy Bowl,  KC vs Boston.  Good friends here but when the game is on the line, you got to beat your friend.  Boston's Qb was the only player to get into double digits as Kamikazes roll past the Patriots.  St. Louis vs Omaha.  St. Louis did not want a Show Me Pansy Bowl.  Maurice Jones did his part but with two Wr's not scoring a point it is very hard to win.  St. Louis over Omaha.

Championship Weekend: Freight Trains vs Bandits.  The Battle of Champions.  Will the Freight Trains become the first team to win 3 straight championship or will the Bandits win their 5th title or is it 6? In the Pansy Bowl,  Patriots vs Jets.  Good AFC East battle!  Since these are my two favorite mascots from the NFL, I guess it doesn't matter who ends up the Pansy!  The Third Place game, OC vs Mexico City.  Mexico City has beaten OC twice this year, will they make it three straight?

In the NFL Pool...Billy 1299, Richard 1219, Dave 1215, Amy 1194, Sam 1182, Jon 1148, Tom 1112, Jeremy 1084.

Next year's draft order: (No trades included).1- Boston, 2- Omaha, 3- Miami, 4- St. Louis, 5- Tempe, 6- Kamikazes, 7- Carson City, 8- Baltimore, 9-12 TBA.

Waivers for this year ends on Saturday.

Playoffs Week 1
Week One of the Playoffs is in the books!  The Two Time Champs began their quest for their Third title but they had to face the Cougars.  In Week 10, the Cougars beat the Champs, but could they do it again? The hot hand of Brees went cold and the Trains continue their conquest for their third title! Barber laid an egg last week so the Bombers didn't start him against the Hillbillies.  It proved to be a costly mistake as the Hillbillies advance.  In the Pansy Bowl Tournament...Miami vs KC.  Always an exciting game.  In week 2, KC got by the Stingrays, but this time Miami wins to finally end their long season.  Tempe vs St. Louis.. Addai and Harrison get the points necessary to send the other Missouri team further into the Pansy Bowl Tournament.

Next week:  Bakersfield vs OC.  In week 10, the Bandits won in a shootout by 2 points.  They Ronnie Brown, but not now.  Will LT have enough to send the Hillbillies to the Title game?  KC vs Mexico City.  The split in the regular season, but this one matters the most.  Will KC go for the Three Peat?  In the Pansy Bowl, KC vs Boston..  It's been a long season for both but one will advance.  St. Louis vs Omaha.  Omaha been there before and doesn't want to return so will we see a Show Me Pansy Bowl?

In the NFL Pool...Billy 1203, Richar 1139, Dave 1128, Amy 1104, Sam 1102, Jon 1068, Tom 1067, Jeremy 1061.

Next year's draft order: (No trades included).1- Boston, 2- Omaha, 3- Miami, 4- St. Louis, 5- Tempe, 6- Kamikazes, 7- Carson City, 8- Baltimore, 9-12 TBA.

Week 14
This week's Highlights....Would the defending Champs make the playoffs?  I hope the league is ready as they prepare to try to become the first three peat!  They took care of business as they shelled the Turtles.  I really don't want to say this, but I knew Maurice Drew-Jones was good!  Too bad it wasn't enough for the Jets to beat the Kamikazes.   Mexico took on the LT Express.  LT got the TD record, but Mexico City got the win.  Boston was just looking to get this season over and the Cougars were looking to get primed for the playoffs.  Both got their wish as Cougars maul the Patriots.  Miami was looking for one final Upset bid but Chicago DT dashed any hopes as Baltimore rolls.  In a classic battle, St. Louis and Bakersfield took to the field.  Steven Jackson made a strong effort to get the Bandits the win but the Tigers hold off the surge for the victory.

Next year's draft order: (No trades involved) 1- Boston, 2- Omaha, 3- Miami, 4- St. Louis, 5- Tempe, 6- Kamikazes, 7-12 TBA.

In the NFL Pool....Billy 1112, Richard 1057, Dave 1037, Amy 1013, Sam 1012, Jon 981, Tom 980 and Jeremy 973.  In the Survivor Pool...The lone Survivor....SAM.

Week 13 Highlights

Tom McAllister will be playing the part of the substitute scribe this week.  First things first, Richard is home from the hospital and hopefully is recovering nicely from his surgery Monday.   Here's to a quick recovery!

Congratulations to Kent and Jeremy, who will have teams in the International Playoffs.  Good luck, gents!  (This tip is from Mike - remember to turn in a lineup for the game!).

On to the week 13 highlights....

The only division title left up for grabs was the East, and Miami was trying to spoil Carson City's attempt at a record-breaking comeback.  There's nothing finer in Carolina than a win for the Commish.  Westbrook piles up the yards against the Carolina's defense, and gives Miami the win 94-83.  Carson City can clinch a playoff spot with a win against Boston in week 14.  In the other East division game, Baltimore was switching their starting lineup right up to the deadline.   The Chicago defense, along with a couple of old vets, Ahman Green and Torry Holt, carry the Bombers to a 120-71 win over Chad Pennington and the Boston Patriots.  The win clinches the division and the #3 seed for Baltimore.

The Central division has been topsy-turvy all year long, and this week was no different.  The O.C. Hillbillies were laying in wait for the Freight Trains to come through.  The Hillbillies, team of the week, get a combined 82 points out of LT (33) and Reggie Bush (49!) and derail the Trains 155-103.   The win gave both teams a 7-6 record going into week 14.  The good news is that if both teams win their week 14 game, they're in the playoffs!   In the other game, the Tempe Turtles are making a late-season charge to make the playoffs.  They had nationally ranked Mexico City standing in their way, however.  Rankings?  What rankings?  Those must be some snapping Turtles!  Tempe gets a rebound game from Marvin Harrison and takes a bite out of the Smugglers 91-74, who don't get any love on Monday night.  Mexico has wrapped up the #2 seed and the bye, however.  Tempe is still alive for the playoffs.  A win against the Freight Trains this week, and they're in.

The Western division in 2006 could be best described as lopsided.  The Bakersfield Bandits have been holding the rest of that division hostage all year.  Not this week!  In the game of the week, Jay Cutler throws a late game TD to Brandon Marshall, and gives Omaha a HUGE upset of the 13th ranked Bandits 94-90!  I know how that feels, Wally!  Jeremy can take solace in the fact that he has wrapped up the #1 seed and the bye in the playoffs.  In the other game, two Missouri rivals squared off against each other.  Smyser vs. Grace.  Both teams have had disappointing seasons.  The Kamikazes get a little hometown love from T-Gon and take down the Showboats 86-67.  The loss sends the Showboats to the Toilet Bowl and keeps Dave's chances for a playoff spot alive.  He'll need to beat Omaha to keep that dream alive, though!

Survivor Pool….Jon bring in your playbook as you’ve been released.  Only Sam and Richard remain.  In the NFL Pool…Billy 1041, Tom 980, Richard 973, Dave 946, Amy 925, Sam 907, Jeremy 905 and Jon 893.

Week 12
I've been in the hospital for the last 2 days so sorry no highlights. There were some exciting games. Boston is in the Toilet Bowl Playoffs.
Survivor Pool...All survived. In the NFL Pool...Billy 955, Richard 897, Tom 889, Dave 867, Amy 850, Sam 819, Jeremy 812, Jon 811.
Billy, yes the script is not correct for the playoffs were today. I'll try to get it done. You would be the #4 seed.

Week 11
Week 11 Highlights…Let's start with the Defending Champs. It was the Battle for Missouri as they faced St. Louis. The game was pretty even but the Champs had the advantage at WR and DT and get the win. Miami was 50 points underdogs to the Hillbillies. It wasn't that bad but LT scored about half the points that Miami scored total! Hillbillies with the easy win. Talk about bad luck! The J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS had a great chance to upset the Smugglers, but McNabb got injured and the Smugglers get the win. It's been a long season for the Patriots and the Turtles are a hard team to predict. In a close one, the Patriots keep their very slim playoff hopes alive. The Cougars battled the Kamikazies. In a tight race in the East, the Cougars needed the win while Kamikazies could use the win to get closer to the playoffs. It wasn't pretty, but the Cougars get the win. In the game of the week, Bakersfield vs Bombers. High octane offenses here so should be a high scoring game? Nope, Bandits drop the Bombers.

Just 3 weeks remain and all will be divisional games. The playoff picture will be more clear in the weeks to come. As of right now, Bandits and Smugglers have clinched their divisions and if both win next week, they will receive first round byes. In the Pansy Bowl playoffs we have, how ironic is this, Miami and Jets are in.

In the NFL Pool…Billy 871, Tom 796, Richard 790, Dave 779, Amy 768, Sam 744, Jon 728 and Jeremy 717. In the Survivor Pool…Jeremy, Billy and yes, finally Tom report to the coaches office and bring your playbooks as you have been ELIMINATED. Only Jon, Richard, Amy and Sam remain.

Remember that next Thursday is also a Thursday night game so FA ends at 6pm on Thursday. Have a Great Thanksgiving.

Week 10
Week 10 Highlights…Let’s just say, this had to be one of the greatest if not the greatest week ever for the RFL! We had 3 teams ranked in the Top 50 and two of those teams faced each other this week. Let’s get to the action….We will began as usual with the Defending Champs as they faced the Cougars. This was one exciting game that came down to the MNF game! LJ against Miami you know he’s going to burn the Dolphins! LJ meet ZACH THOMAS. Clinton Portis is surely going to have a good day for the Redskins. Nope, out with a broken hand in the first quarter. It all came down to the Carolina defense. The Cougars with the Carolina DT derail the Freight Trains. The J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS were taking on the Patriots. Hey, just like the NFL during the same week, the real JETS beat the Patriots while our version produced the same results. That’s just amazing! Another real exciting game, featured the highest ranking team from our league taking on his old high school buddy. The Bandits and the Hillbillies had a shoot-out! Chad Johnson wakes up and scores 43 while reliable LT churns out 45 points. The game came down to Sunday Night Football. Thomas Jones and Muhammad gave their all but Gould scored enough to keep the Hillbillies from the win. The potential score could have been 175 -176 with the Hillbillies getting the win. This will go down as a classic! In another game of old friends, it wasn’t even close as the Tigers take out the Stingrays. How fast is “Fast Willie Parker?” Fast enough to score two TD’s over 70 yards to put him in the same standard of Barry Sanders. With Fast Willie, the Kamikazies race past the Turtles. In the Game of the Week, I’ll steal Tom’s words from the message board, we had the Bombers vs Mexico City. We had #41 ranked Smugglers vs #42 ranked Bombers. One team would probably run out of the chase for a playoff berth in the International Rankings. This game also came down to MNF and to the final closing minutes of the game. The catch, the TD by Steve Smith gave the Smugglers the win. Another game to put in the classic vault.
Next week is Thanksgiving so remember that Free Agency will end at 6pm on Wednesday. Also, there will be 3 games on Thanksgiving! This is the last week of out of conference games and then we go to divisional play with only 4 weeks remaining. Even at 2-8, right now there is a chance, but another loss and we could have 3 teams in the Toilet Bowl playoffs this weekend.
In the NFL Pool…Billy continues to dominate at 786, Tom 711, Dave 691, Richard 691, Amy 685, Sam 679, Jon 661 and Jeremy 636. In the Survivor Pool, Dave report to the Coaches Office and bring your playbook as you have been TERMINATED! Hats off to Jeremy for picking Miami in the Survivor Pool. Amy and Sam still survive as well.

Week 9

I’m pressed for time today so the Highlights for the week will just be Quick Hits this week:  The Champs continue their run to the playoffs as they run over the Turtles, the Kamikazies are a better airplane than the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS as they down them,  Hillbillies put up a good fight but Mexico City has a win streak of 7, Cougars devour the Patriots,  Bombers bomb the Stingrays, and the Bandits rebound from the upset last week to defeat the Tigers.  Remember trading ends this Sunday at noon.

In the NFL Pool:  Billy 713, Dave 619, Tom 615, Amy 612, Richard 601, Sam 599, Jon 588 and Jeremy 555.  In the Survivor Pool II, Tom is the man!  He picked SF and was the only to get the team right.  I knew I should have picked my Fins!  I will reset again, but Tom is the only one getting a prize.

Week 8
Week 8 Highlights….Just a note:  Points were scored this week!  Ok, next time I run my mouth about the Champs not starting his main backs of Barber & LJ, just tell me to SHUT UP or at least make sure that I don't play him next on the schedule!  Ok so he started LJ this week and gets 43 points, but the real sad part is all he had to start was LJ & Reggie Wayne to beat me!  In a runaway, Freight Trains over Miami.  The Bombers continue to score points and this week with almost 100% coaching efficiency they scored 151 points.  The Bombers keep the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS on the ground!  Could the Bandits rebound from their upset loss last week or would the Turtles bring them down.  Nope.  Bandits rebound and regroup as they squash the Turtles.  LJ scores 43 points so what would LT do?  Nothing, but score 44 points!  The Kamikazies never had a chance as the Hillbillies pick them out of the sky!  The Smugglers put up 134 points and had 100% coaching efficiency.  Boston put up a good fight, but not enough to beat the Smugglers.  Tigers-Cougars, the battle of the Cats!  Both teams are struggling a bit but the Tigers didn't get much production from his backs while the Cougars rode the Brees back and proved to be the bigger Cat!

This week is divisional play so if you don't have a division win, this is the week to get it!

In the NFL Pool: Billy 652, Dave 568, Tom 567, Sam 550, Amy 549, Richard 537, Jon 532, Jeremy 503.  In the Survior Pool: Dave, Sam, and Billy report to the coaches office, bring your playbook because You have been eliminated!  The Sole Survivor is Tom Reger!  I will reset it to start again.  Maybe I will give two prizes this year, but Reger will get one for sure!

Week 7
We are half way through the season!  Everyone still has a shot at the playoffs even at 1-6!  Week 6 highlights...As always; we will start with the defending champs.  The big showdown, the rivarly, friends among friends, titans vs titans or in this case Freight Trains vs Bombers.  Talk about lighting up the scoreboard!  Wow!  The potential points is also earth shattering!  I guess the Freight Trains will be saying all week:  Why didn't I start Eli and LJ?  With a one point victory, the Bombers take down the Freight Trians.  The Smugglers are smoking hot.  On a 5 game win streak and it doesn't look like they will be slowing down.  The rip through the Cougars.  Who lit a fire under Hines Ward?  Wow, the guy scores a TD with one shoe off!  Kamikazies blast the Patriots.  The J-E-T-S, JETS,JETS JETS were soaring up the skies to catch the Turtles, but they ran out of gas and came crashing down to the ground.  The Turtles hold off the J-E-T-S,JETS, JETS, JETS.  I guess this was just a wild weekend in the RFL.  Lots of close and exciting games.  Vick and LT put up some huge numbers, but in the end it was the Giants DT that brought home the victory for the Tigers.  The last undefeated team also ranked #20 in the International Rankings took on the Stingrays at 1-5 and  #1164 in the rankings.  With a key pickup of Harrington, Miami UPSET the Bandits.  The last undefeated team is no more.

Just an early reminder that trading ends at the start of week 10.  In the NFL Pool: Billy 593, Tom 514, Dave 511, Amy 506, Richard 499, Sam 485, Jon 476, Jeremy 446.  In the Survivor Pool: Kevin and Jon report to the Coaches Office....and bring your playbook as you have been eliminated!  Only Dave, Billy, Tom and Sam remain.

Week 6
Week 6 Highlights....Let's start with the Defending Champs.  They were in a big divisional battle this week as they faced the Division leader Mexico City.  The Freight Trains may be 8 tons of steel, but when you meet a little Mexican on a mission then you're going to get wrecked. Mexico takes care of business and keeps the division lead.  The last undefeated team, Bakersfield, faced the Kamikazies.  Did the trade for Santana Moss help KC this week?  Nope!  Bakersfield remain undefeated.  Will they move into the Top 15 of the National Rankings?  Talking about getting unleashed...Tigers tear up the J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS,JETS!  Miami vs Boston the battle for win number 2!  I guess this Miami team is just like their NFL counterparts because they just can't beat a Patriot team!  Patriots over Stingrays.  In the squeeker of the week the Hillbillies took on the Turtles. We know for sure who cares the OC team as LT scores 44 in the 8 point win over Tempe.  In the final matchup, the Bombers took on the Cougars.  This sure has been a tough season for the Cougars.  They didn't have enough firepower to take down the Bombers.

In the NFL pool...Billy 550, Amy 466, Dave 465, Richard 462, Tom 453, Jon 434, Sam 425, Jeremy 421. In the Survivor Pool...All Advance.

Week 5
Week 5 Highlights....The Defending Champs were taking on the high flying J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS,JETS. The Trains got their main engines back and they churned out the win.  Miami knew they were in a rebuilding season and they even scored close to 100 points.  But the Turtles are packing some punch this year as they show the Stingrays who the rulers of the sea really is.  After a hot start, the Hillbillies have slowed down but the Patriots were on the schedule.  Must be a rebuilding year for all the teams that have an AFC East name.  Boston had no offense as OC gets the win.  The Kamikazies had a chance to maybe catch up to the Bombers when Roy Williams got hurt, but even their new acquired WR couldn't help this romp.  Bakersfield is the last undefeated team.  Could they stay undefeated as they faced the Cougars?  It was close, but Gould kicks them to the victory and still undefeated.  The Game of the Week featured the Smugglers and Tigers  Smugglers had to start a Rook at QB, but the Rook came through during pressure time as the Smugglers squeeze by the Tigers.

The NFL Pool---Billy 495, Dave 409, Amy 404, Richard 401, Tom 398, Jon 392, Sam 364, Jeremy 358.  In the Survivor Pool-- All advance.

Week 4
Week 4 Highlights.....The Defending Champs got to face the undefeated Bandits.  Would this mark the end to that streak?  Nope!  Bandits manhandle the Trains.  The Turtles had 100% coaching efficiency and ended up with a tie.  The Bombers looked like they would get the win and break the tie, but Ahman Green did not play on MNF.  That sucks. The Smugglers have been a hot team lately and were looking at taking down the Kamikazes.  No problem.  A weak WR corp brought down the Kamikazes attack.  The winless J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS,JETS looked forward to playing MIAMI!  Why?  Because the J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS,JETS know that Miami SUCKS!  McNabb shines and so do the J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS     as they get their first win by whipping Miami.  In the stinker of the week, the winless Patriots also get their first win by one point over the Tigers.  OC started out real hot, but really have cool off lately.  It wasn't pretty, but the Cougars take the victory.

Week 3 highlighlights that featured Divisional matchups...The Defending Champs were taking on the red hot Hillbillies. The Hillbillies were minus the star RB and started two players not playing and the Freight Trains rolled to victory and the Hillbillies tasted defeat for the first time this season. Another undefeated team, Bakersfield, was taking on the winless J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS,JETS. Would there be an Upset? Nope, Bandits roll to victory as the JETS remain winless. The Kamikazes were flying high as they faced their interstate rival the St. Louis Tigers. The Kamikazes had already defeated the another MO team and was looking to add another. You want to talk about getting shot out of the skies? Tigers took the whipping stick the Kamikazes as they mauled them to the ground and ended their undefeated season. The last undefeated team was the Turtles. Joseph Addai has proven himself worthy of star status for this team but could he come through this week? The Smugglers with Matt Hasselbeck throwing for 5 td's took down the last undefeated team. Let's look at the other side of the coin, the winless teams. Boston had to face the Bombers. The Chicago DT has been hot, but they cooled down this week as they were the only player not to score in double digits for the Bombers as they cruised to an easy victory over the Patriots. The last winless team, Miami was facing the team that received the most votes to win it all, the Cougars. Portis was back and he ran wild, but Westbrook had a great game for the Stingrays. The Stingrays get their first win of the season.

I forgot to add about the NFL Pool picks....You can see the standings but Amy has 236 points and Sam 213.  In the Survivor Pool...Richard, Kevin and Pat please report to the Coach's Office and bring your playbook.  You have been released!  Stupid Broncos!

Week 2
Week 2 Highlights.....Let's begin with the Defending Champs.  100% coaching efficiency got them a victory.  Trains ran wild over the Patriots.  Just like their real life team, the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS came up seven points short in their game against the Cougars.  I guess they actually needed 8 to win, but they had the points!  An old western came to life as the Bandits and Smugglers faced off.  Manning against the Texans, how ironic, proved to be to much for the Smugglers.  What is up with this OC team?  They are on FIRE!!!  The Hillbillies down the Bombers.  This game could have been high scoring and close, it was close but far from high scoring.  Kamikazies steal one from the Stingrays.  The Turtles have been giving their Rookie Addai the start and this week he delivered!  Turtles over the Tigers.

In the NFL Pool...Billy 232, Reger 206, Jon 179, Richard 178, Dave 169, Amy 163, Sam 146, Jeremey 107, Kevin 103, Pat 83.  In the Survivor Pool....ALL ADVANCED!

Week 1
Week 1 is done!  Did you know that several years ago, Kevin and I went to a Miami-Colts game in Miami and then after the game, flew to Tampa to watch a Tampa-Tennesse game?  Now, we had a double header MNF!  I'm too old....I couldn't stay up for both!

The defending Champs started their quest to become the first three-peat by taking on the other KC team.  It was a good one, but the Champs took one on the chin as the Kamikazies sent them down the tracks in defeat!  The Raiders on MNF with the Brooks-Moss combo and needing lots of points, the Stingrays were hoping to come back to beat the Smugglers.  When your PK misses an extra point in the first MNF you know these are going downhill from there.  Smugglers whip the Stingrays.  The League Poll gave the Cougars the nod as the team to beat this season.  With not much offense from either team, the Turtles were able to upset the Cougars by 2.  The Patriots could have scored 122 and won, but it is so hard to make those decisions!  Who would have thought Palmer against KC would only manage 4 points while Pennington vs Tennessee would score 22?  Bandits roll past the Patriots. Da Bears.  What else can you say?  I guess Burress had some awesome catches and Gore ran wild on the Cards, but in the end the Bombers bomb the Tigers.  Hey, Jed how's life in Californie?  The Hillbillies packed up and moved to OC but they still got to play the first game of the season against the J-E-T-S,JETS,JETS,JETS!!!!  Actually the Omaha Jets put up a good little wrestling match, but the Hillbillies get the win!

In the NFL Pool.....Jeremy didn't quite get it right, so if everyone is ok, we can restart at week 2 or we can say suck it up and try to get it right this time.  Let me know.  Current rankings:  Billy- 115, Kevin- 103, Jon- 98, Pat- 83, Reger 82, Richard- 81, Dave- 80, Sam 74, Amy- 72, Jeremy 9.  In the Survivor Pool, all advance except for Amy.

NFL Pool & Survivor Pool
Once again, the winner of the Survivor Pool will win something.  I don't know what as of yet.  Also, I'm going to do the NFL Pool a little different this year.  You still just pick who you think you will, no line, but now you put them in order of confindence, that is, who are you most confindent in winning.  For example:  Miami vs Pittsburgh, if I choose Miami but not very confindent then I might select just 3, but if I select Pittsburgh and feel very confindent then I might select 16.  Just a note, you go from 16 down to 1 with 16 being the most confindent to 1 being the least confindent.  When you are correct with the pick, then you also get the points.  Understand?  If not, then let me know.

Waivers
The program should now be set to accept blind bids. Remember to put your preferences in the comments box. I forgot to bring Billy"s prize for winning the NFL Survivor Contest. It was a shot glass from the CBS Survivor show. I gave it to him today at Wal-Mart.

Anybody interested in a money league?  Draft is this Saturday at 2pm in Maryville.  Cost is $40.  Let me know ASAP.  I probably have a few openings.

The Draft is DONE!
I believe that was the longest first round ever!  Yeah, I blame myself for starting the offer rally at pick 1:2.  The site is updated with the rosters.  The draft didn't come over like it should, but atleast the rosters are correct ( I think!).  Please check to make sure!

I'm tired tonight but I will set up the site so you will be able to make a blind bid this week.

2006 Season
We now have two new rules:
1.  We can draft 22 players on draft day.  You can have 22 players on your team.  The draft is officially over at 19 players.  Salary cap remains the same at $30.
2.  There is no trading after July 31st till draft day.  If during that time or on the day of the draft, you have a player(s) that retire or die, then you will be able to drop them on the day of the draft.

We need to decide when to have our draft.  Tom McAllister has said something about August 19th.  We probably should decide as soon as possible so if he can get a good airline ticket, then he can do it.  If not the 19th, then maybe the 20th.  Please let me know as soon as possible.  Trent will not be attending the draft.  I might look into the possibilty of drafting online and then he could do it that way.

The draft is about one hour away!!!
