While the official season ended in week 14 for this year, the unofficial season end is one week away. At that time, I want to begin discussions with those that will be in the league next year on some rule additions, changes, fees, payouts, salary and waiver discussions... Some of those discussions will may be resolved by polls, so we will need to have the teams of those who are not interested "closed" out to those former owners so that the polls will only be available to those who remain. I will be posting several other topics for rules discussion soon (as we close out the owners who do not wish to remain for next year) so stay tuned on that. Some decisions will be league driven (votes, polls) while others will be guided by discussion and then the best fitting rule/idea for the intended/necessary purpose will be formatted by the Commissioner and then presented. First and foremost will be the league fee and desired "prize" structure- this will be first as it has some bearing I think on whether or not some folks stay in the league. As a proposed starting point, I would suggest a payout for both divisional winners, the overall winner, and the overall points winner. Optional (but desireable, to me) would be additional payouts for NFL Pool and Survivor Pool. So please give some thought to all of that in the coming two weeks... Those that have stated they will stay in the league are Todd, Robb, Marc, Doug, Ken (stil somewhat conditional), and the new guy (Tom). I need to get answers from the rest as to who else will be playing next year. I would like to have an answer as soon as possible, not later than Dec. 31st, New Years Eve. Anyone I have not heard from by then I will take to be a no, and we will then make those team slots available, but while we are filling them, we will immediately start discussing the league formats for next year. Teams who have already given a "no" will be closed out at the end of week 16, and those slots made available as we search for more owners. Not trying to presume the outcome, but it appears right now that the final two in the pseudo-playoffs after this evening will be LN and Global, so congrats and good luck to both next week!
