The teams are divided into two pools: playoff teams and non-playoff teams. All non-playoff teams draft before all playoff teams. The non-playoff team with the fewest total points the previous season drafts first each round; the playoff team with the most total points the previous season drafts last each round; etc. (Thus, the non-playoff team with the most points drafts eighth while the playoff team with the fewest points drafts ninth. It's not that complicated.) "Total number of points" is now defined simply as a team's "points for" in the standings. (*Note that this is a change from the old method.*)" |
