| Are free agents locked until they're available? Couldn't I under the present system, pick up every possible player and drop them - making them unavailable to anyone else so as to block another owner from getting someone. I thought there was a window of time where they were locked but then became available. |

| well, I suppose you *could* pick up everyone and then drop them if you really wanted to. It probably wouldn't endear you to other owners. I think the lock lasts until the next free agency period. When I processed things by hand, the rule was if you picked up a player, you couldn't drop him until the next week. |
