| Fantasy Bowl 17 Preview (#7) Gridiron Gods (9-6-0) - Streak: W4 (#6) Midnight Vigilantes (9-6-0) - Streak: W4 * The two teams have played one previous time in the Erie League, with the Midnight Vigilantes defeating the Gridiron Gods 91.35 - 70.42 during Week 6 of the 2003 season. * Jeff Gallagher, Gridiron Gods owner, has a 27-24 record in four Erie League seasons. His teams have gone 6-2 in the post-season. * Kirk Pavelich, Midnight Vigilantes owner, has a 114-79 record in 15 Erie League seasons. His teams have gone 21-10 in the post-season. * Gridiron's road to the Fantasy Bowl includes wins over #2 seed Donikers-DTL (83.95 to 83.5), #1 seed Long Shots (117.25 to 91.75) and #4 seed Bonecrushers (106.6 to 64.05). * The Vigilantes road to the Fantasy Bowl includes wins over #3 seed LTP (93.8 to 69.6), #4 seed Psychedelic B's (138.4 to 101.7) and #7 seed No Limit Ballers (88.35 to 79.45). * This is the 3rd post-season trip for the Gridiron Gods. * This year marks the 13th trip to the post-season for the Midnight Vigilantes, tying them for most in league history with the Atomic Punks and the Bonecrushers. They are 4-time Erie League champions ('95, '00, '01, '03). Other 2006 Season Historical Highlights * Long Shots scored 157.35 during Week 8, good enough for 2nd place all-time in Most Points Scored - Single Game. * Stonehenge's 89.6 to 89.3 Week 6 win over the Masons was tied for 2nd place all-time in Least Victory Margin. * The Donikers-DTL won their 6th division title this year, good enough for a three-way tie for first all-time with the Hostile Omish and OSU Inmates. * The Bonecrushers qualified for the playoffs as a wild-card team for the 10th time, vaulting them to the lead in all-time Wildcard appearances. * Long shots scored 1254 points during the regular season, placing them 3rd on the all-time single season list. * The Donikers-DTL were a perfect 6-0 in games outside their division this year, tying them for first all-time in this category. * Both the Bonecrushers and Long Shots had 8 game winning streaks during the regular season, tying them for second all-time in this category. * Stonehenge won 7 straight games to start the year, placing them fourth on the all-time list in this category. * The Shadow Bandits lost 8 straight games from Week 5 to Week 12 but rebounded to win three straight in the consolation tournament and capture this year's Toilet Bowl crown.
