| Carolina is up by 7, and was apparently trying to run out the clock before throwing deep. Well, Stevonne (for that is his real name) Smith catches a 36 yard TD pass, for a nice tidy little 10 point (the catch gave him 8 for the game) play with 3:11 left to play. This takes Mexico City from a 6 point deficit to a 4 point win, and with the exception of the Bakersfield-St.Louis thriller, is probably the RFL game of the week. I'm not REALLY griping (though I do hate Monday night football - cost me two wins this year). Kent has a VERY good team, and I knew it would be extremely tough to beat him. He deserves the win, and the bye week that will most likely follow. This week should be a lot of fun, too. Even though we aren't in the same division anymore, I always get geared up for "Bakersfield Week". Jeremy always seems to have the best team in the league, and of course I am the 2000's version of the 90s Buffalo Bills (can't win the big one, though I have won 1). Though Jeremy has the better record, I've scored the most points in the league (I'm knocking on wood as I type this). It will probably take 140 points to win this one. Let's hope Chad Johnson got all those points out of his system last week, and that Dallas plays well against Peyton (yeah, right)! I know we're both ready for the game already, as both of us had our first lineups turned in on Monday! Best of luck to you, J. May the best team win! Tom p.s. While I have everyone's attention, I will be looking to trade some players/picks after this year. I have Patrick's #1 pick in 2007, which as of right now would be the #4 draft pick. I also have Jon's 2nd round pick in 2007, likely the first or second pick in the 2nd round next year. The only untradeable players I have on my team are Kevin Jones, Darrell Jackson, and Roy Williams. Everyone else is fair game, for the right price. Please call/e-mail me after the season if you'd like to talk trade. *Jumps off the soapbox* |

| I do love the Carolina Panters. Their defense did just enough to allow me to squeak out a win over the Freight Trains. Joey Galloway also had a part in helping me win but Carolina's d played a big role also. I was down 15 going into the Monday night game and got lucky and came away with a win. |
