| The 4 things to remember when voting: 1. EACH OWNER MUST MAINTAIN A 70% AVERAGE IN LEAGUE VOTING PER YEAR (APR. 1- MAY. 31) OR THEY WILL BE CONSIDERED A BAD OWNER AND CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE IF THERE ISN'T A REASONABLE EXPLANATION FOR THEIR LACK OF EFFORT IN THE LEAGUE 2. ALL MESSAGE BOARDS VOTES WILL BE DISCUSSED AND VOTED ON MINIMUM 1 WEEK TO BE CONSIDERED A VALID VOTE AND ALL OWNERS WILL BE EMAILED THAT A VOTE IS TAKING PLACE - 3. VOTE ON THE MESSAGE BOARD DO NOT REPLY TO EMAIL 4. If you want to change your vote in a thread , post your new answer , DO NOT EDIT YOUR MESSAGE AS YOUR VOTE WILL BE NULL AND VOID VOTE 2 NEEDS NIC,CHRIS AND ROB TO VOTE VOTE 4 NEEDS CHRIS AND ROB TO VOTE VOTE 5 (ANOTHER 2 PARTER AND VOTE IN BOTH EVEN IF YOU VOTE NO IN PART 1) PART 1. the nfl has added a new category to their stats: qb hurries if the MFL site adds it to its scoring do we want to add into our scoring rules YES NO PART 2 SCORING FOR THIS STAT OPTION 1 DL 1 LB .5 DB .5 OPTION 2 DL 1 LB 1 DB 1 | |

| Yes Option 1 Seems to me to be a 'minor' stat, so it's justified. IMO. | |

| I like the idea of adding QB hurries, but not the points system that has been suggested from out of nowhere b/c there's no way to see how they effect the current standings. NFL.com doesn't even have those stats so its tough to gauge how they will effect the league. There's no justification given on why we these specific options. It seems that they were pulled out of random. Also, what's the definition of a QB Hurry? Is it a hit on the QB after the ball is thrown, is it getting into his face, is it pushing an Olineman past a certain mark, The idea of having to tinker with defensive points again and then trying to figure things out is just a pain in the ass and won't provide any stability to the league. Is there ever a year that we can actually stand pat on our scoring rules? IMO, LBs and CBs don't get many QB hurries so they should be rewarded when they do. Again this is an assumption on my part since there's no data to back it up. This scoring change really increases the value of the DL if passed. That should be understood. I like my 3 guys for DL so it doesn't matter much to me, but owners should be aware of this. |

The Orange Crush:> I'll vote No only cause I don't like the scoring a qb roughly get 4-6 qb hurries a game so that translates to about 25 extra pts for a top dl and make them to adding a free agent dl to your line up > this is just a suggestive as pass defended , tackles and assists each week . it depnds on how the home team's stats guys calls the play > The idea of having to tinker with defensive points agree with this also your post has been editted so your vote is null maybe you should read the 4 voting rules on each email or on the 1st post | |

| Thanks for that, but I haven't changed my vote, just my views on the rules that randomly come up from nowhere. How come you accepted my vote from vote from Vote #2. It was edited yet you accepted that vote for option #2......hmm interesting, maybe YOU should read your own rules too. Then again, I don't blame you for misunderstanding that post since each thread has become a jungle that is hard to interpret what we are actually voting on. |

| Also to add to this, I think most owners are pretty clear on what a pass defense is. Yes there are certain stadiums such as Philadelphia that are liberal with their PD's, but all in all we know what one is. And for the record, you can check those stats on NFL.com. Passes Defensed is an option. But saying that the home team guy will tell us is not really the point of this thread. Since this is your suggestion, you should be able to tell us what the heck a QB hurry is. I don't think I'm asking for too much to ask the guy who put up the rule and suggested the rule what the rule means and how is it defined. Personally, I watch the games and when I see my guy make a play, I want to be able to tell if it was a QB hurry. I don't want to have to go to MFL and see if it was or wasn't. Just for the owners that are curious. I have done some digging and have been able to find something for QB Hurries. If you go to each game's scores on NFL.com, and choose GameBook. At the bottom of that, there is a section that shows defensive stats for both teams and they show you a section called "QH". I'm assuming that is QB hurry. But hey I'm not an "active owner" so what do I know.

| Actually...if this vote passes I'd rather have an "option 3:" DL .5 LB 1 CB 1 As Bobby mentioned earlier, it's harder for an LB/DB to get a QB hurry than it is for a DL. I think the scoring should reflect this. | |

| i was very torn on this subject. i had 2 different train of thoughts on this matter. My 1st thought was since this is a new stat that the league should have a voice in deciding if they want it right away even though no one realy knows on how it will turn out. my 2nd thought was not to mention it and study the the stats (like i did with claims) for a couple of years then bring to the league's attention. i personally do want this stat because it would increase the DL scoring and make more on par with the other defensive positions and increase the top DL's and make the waiver DL pick up less meaningful. overall i happy with this discussion because it does sound like there is interest so know i can study the stats and come up with a balance scoring system NO option 2 | |

| actually that's a good idea, i think if we actually see stats and put the different options to it, we can make a proper judgement i think Raveen is on to something to with his 3rd option |
