will we be droping players prior to the draft then making the roster size larger, or do we keep everyone and add the rookies to increase the roster size?

Good Question! Roster size has been increased to 40 for the upcoming (yet distant) draft. Draft will be 10 rounds for Rookies and Veterans. You will be required to cut down to 35 before the start of the season. Also if you have more than 30 players you will not be able to draft all 10 rounds. Example 32 players would equal only 8 picks. With waivers closed this should only happen due to trades. Mike

sorry for the absence...changed my email filters and this was the first message board post I've received...one of the things I put on my site survey was the option to recieve email notification of any message board post...anyway that's here nor there... About my IR proposal...the purpose was to give GMs the ability to keep players that ended the 2005 season on IR slotted there until a pre-determined date (thinking maybe after the 3rd pre-season game since thats the one where everybody plays) without a penalty to the team owner...then at that time the GM would have to make a decision on what to do with the IR player(s)...drop, add to active roster (by making room for him) or trade...this would be before the final roster cutdown date...and first waiver/bid session for the league. This will put up to 20 players back in the free agent pool. So what it means is that if you do have 30 players on your active roster and 2 on IR you'll still be able to draft the full 10 rounds... Of course if you make trades and go over the 30 active players then it would count against your draft number... -- Lately it occurs to me what a long strange trip it's been...
