| What's the good word down there on Bree's? Is he going to sign there or is Miami going to scope him up? | |

| Sunday Paper says the Saints will outbid everybody. Its up to Brees. Quote: "....sources said the Saints have made it clear they will be the highest bidder for Brees, offering more guaranteed money than other top suitors such as Miami and San Diego." Note: They are also bringing in Josh McCown on Monday. "...if the team is still in the market for a QB." Note 2: Saints are also targeting Wil Witherspoon and Scott Fujita (apparently new coach Payton has a warm feeling for Fujita) Note 3. LB Sedrick Hodge appears headed for Miami. (but don't run to the waiver wires on this guy yet) |

| i read that they are only offering Brees a 2 year deal, similar to what Warner signed with the Giants....it will be big money for 1 year, the most guaranteed money for the first year than any other team, but the though process is that Brees is a stop gap til Leinhart is ready. Miami is offering the most money over a long period of time. SD offered a 6 year, 50 million contract, but only 2 million guaranteed cause of the shoulder injury. |

| If they want Leinhart then why bring in Bree's? Better off sticking with Brook's for a year or two. Also better off signing Bree's longterm and trading down to draft a center to replace Bently. I guess Bree's will sign with the Dolphin's now. That work for you Rav? | |

| Agreed. Brees is young enough 25-1/2. If they get Brees they won't take Leinart. They will trade down, or get AJ Hawk at #2. I think they will trade down. Most likely for low #1 this year and a #1 next year. When it comes to the Saints, expect mostly defensive picks. They have been fishing for years. I think Brees will go to Miami. But not for the money. He visits Miami next week. After touring New Orleans, he will fall in love with Miami. I live in New Orleans, and I've been to Miami several times, and I know I would. |

Leo...you can keep Brees and his torn labia. I'm praying that he goes to New Orleans. He's an upgrade over Frerrote, but he's definitely not worth the $10mil/year that he's looking for. I'd much rather the Fins go after C-Pep. Here's the latest: "...That decision could come as early as today if negotiations strike the right chord -- and for Brees that means $10 million per year and $10 million in guarantees. The Dolphins were offering approximately $5 million to $7 million in guarantees two days ago. If the gap isn't bridged, Brees likely will be heading back to New Orleans, and the Dolphins will fall back to what is clearly their second option: Somehow acquiring Minnesota quarterback Daunte Culpepper."

| The ass-clown was rumored to have signed with Miami: 6yr/55-58 million Now they're reporting negotiations will resume tomorrw, and the Fins have made it known that if a deal isn't in place by tomorrw they will go after C-Pep instead. | |

| Miami could miss out here. I hear Oakland has jumped back into the C-pep trade talks. If he goes to Oakland tomorrow and Bree's goes to New Orleans than what does Miami do? They should have drafted Bree's back in 2001 instead of taking Fletcher(another fantastic move by Wanstad). Even Raveen couldn't argue with that one...From what i am hearing Bree's was rehabing all day and will discuss contract talk tomorrow. But say Bree's does go to New Orleans what happpens to Brooks?? | |

| Los Hooligans:> Nothing official from the Saints, but the local "experts" are saying they'll dangle him as trade bait at the rookie draft. Some think he may even get a second rounder from Detroit, Green Bay, oooorrrr...........Oakland!! Wherever he lands....Good ridance. I, and about 100,000 other people, despise the guy. He is not a trouble maker and is usually soft-spoken. But he don't give a damn if they win or not. He is not, and never will be, a leader. |

| C-Pep to Miami. There you go Raveen, time to celebrate. So i guess Bree's to New Orleans and Brooks to Oakland or Minni. Kitna signed in Detroit, so were does Ramsey go? Also were do the Qb's get drafted?? | |

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() It sucks to give up a second rounder in a draft that's so deep, but the finally get their franchise QB. C-Pep is better than anyone Miami could have taken in the second round. Now, if Lawson isn't there at 16, hopefully the Fins trade down, pick up some more picks, and grab Cromartie.

| First, I am not a big Saints fan. But when you get them on TV nearly every week you gotta watch. Second, I just came back from dart night and it's like Christmas in New Orleans. People are actually talking playoffs and big excitng things. The owner, Tom Benson, was on the radio and said,"we ain't finished yet". Anyway, the Brees news has been well received. Well after Brooks for 4 years, even Shaun King would be an upgrade. ![]() CPep to Miami: Good move, not only for the Fins, but for the acceptance of the fans. Cpep was big, big, coming out of Cental Florida (I lived there when he was at CFU). I just hope his knee comes around. But Saban and Meuller are no dummies. They wouldn't gamble without their Doc's Okay. Kitna to Detroit. Ambivalence from me. Challenge Harrington?? Only when (and if) the Lions are 1-6 I think. Not that I like Harrington, but the DET org. does (because they don't want to admit their mistake). |

| brees' deal is for one year, there's a monster roster bonus due next year that may or may not be paid depending on what Brees does this year. Cpepp to Miami is good, but I don't have faith in this guy. When has a supposed franchise come on the market and not have any biters. You mean to tell me that Oakland couldn't pay a 2nd rounder, which would have been higher than the Phins to Minny. Something is not right here, either his injury is much more serious than being reported, OR and this is what I believe, he's what the scouts have been saying, and that is he's D-U-M-B and can't read defenses. Tell him to throw the ball as long as possible and have Randy Moss jump and get it, no problem. Tell him to read defenses with the safety staying in because no there is no Moss on the team anymore, and he can't do it. Remember, before the injury, this guy absolutely reeked. I hope for Fins fan's sake, I'm wrong, actually, I hope I'm dead right.

| C'mon Bob, that's a pretty weak analysis. You're talking about an Oakland team who pulled the exact same stunt two years ago when they wouldn't give up a 2nd for Dillon. Plus, according to reports coming out today, C-Pep made it known that he did not want to go to the Titans or the Raiders (if you really need me to find the links I'll get them). On top of that C-Pep has one of the highest completion percentages in NFL history, as well as the highest single season completion percentage in NCAA history. You can't get that by only throwing bombs. About his intelligence, (or lack thereof), someone on Finheaven already summed things up best. It's a long read, but it's worth skimming through when you have time. http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?t=130336 On top of everything else, Miami put Brees through 12 hours of tests yesterday to see how his shoulder was healing, (no contract negotiations took place). They must have seen something they didn't like because they went back and made an offer for C-Pep, almost right afterwards. I think they got a steal, Miami's offense should be top 10 for the next 4-5 years at least. | |

| All the hot gossip is coming out of New Orleans. Guess thats what happens when you wind up with #2 over-all and arguably the top free-agent on the market. So do the Saints take Brick or do they take Williams? I like Brick myself. You need to protect your prized aquisition and they are thin on the line with losing Bently. I also think they are deep at DE as well. I know they lost Howard but they have Grant and Smith. What are people down there saying they should do with that pick? | |

| I like the Saints for taking D'Brickshaw too. but not at No.2. I think they trade down 3-4 spots. If he gets nabbed they take AJ Hawk. BTW. Greetings from London..... And Troy - You ever gonna adress that trade offer? |
