Just a reminder... ROUND FOUR begins on August 15, 2005 Then, on August 28th, starting at 9 p.m. ET, teams will have the opportunity to make unlimited drop/add transactions on a first-come, first-serve basis. The purpose of this transaction period is to allow for roster tweaking and player additions to replace spots that have been waived or traded away. This free-for-all drop/add period will last for two full days and end promptly at 9 p.m. ET on August 30th. At that time, no more drop/adds can be made until the week after the start of the regular season.

Kirk, Just a confirmation... we will be required to cut down to 22 roster spots before the FA Waiver picks correct?? Also, can we now put in future picks for the FA period or is that not activated right now?

Rosters have to be cut to 18 players by the end of the day on Sept. 1st. As for the future free agent period, you cannot preselect during that round. You just have to log into the site during the 24 hour period when waivers are first-come, first-serve. Thanks, Kirk

According to the league rules, we can expand our rosters by 4 players in the off-season. That means no-one is allowed to go over 22 players at any time, correct? Looks like we have 1 roster over already. [[[4. In subsequent years, the teams with the worst regular season records the previous season will have the first opportunity to select rookies and free agents in May. Subsequent rookie and free agent transaction periods will take place in June, July and August, with the order being serpentine or switchback. Adding a player DOES NOT require a drop from your current roster. Owners are permitted to expand their rosters by four players during the off-season. Rosters will then need to be trimmed by four players one week prior to the start of the regular season]]] Steve SteamRollers

| Thanks Steve-- I'll get right on that. I'm not sure how he managed to do that because the system is set for 22 players. I'll check with the MFL guys but I bet it had something to do with making a replacement pick for a missed draft selection. Thanks again for the heads up. | Rosters will consist of 18 players. The nine (9) reserves on your roster may consist of any number of quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, kickers, or NFL teams. It is your responsibility to maintain your roster at all times. If a team goes over the 18 spots (by free agent pickup or trade) the transaction or transactions will not be processed for that week. Teams in the Classic Leagues keep their entire ENTIRE roster from season to season. When new players are added during the off-season drafting periods, owners WILL NOT be required to drop a player to stay at the 18-man roster limit. Rosters may be expanded to 22 players during the off-season, provided all teams cut down to the necessary 18-man limit one week prior to the start of the regular season. |
