| I'm curious how the Contract Years(CYs) are working, I just want a bit of confirmation on how I interpreted the contract years of a player. Please help me out here.... My quandry is over Priest Holmes, he had 1 contract year left on him at the beginning of this season. He is on the NFL IR atm, hence his season being over. I interpret this 1 CY he has as this is his last year on my team, and will go back into the draft next season, did I misinterpret this? I dropped him thinking this way, wondering if I made a mistake.  Thanks in advance. |

| You are right.. but even more than that.. if you pick up a player with 2 or more contract years.. you still don`t keep them next year.. they go back to the draft! You only retain players you sign or trade for. |
