Hutton has not bid on a free agent during any of the past three regular seasons. It could be longer (I don't have records prior to 2003).

The team has made one regular-season transaction during the last three years, dropping Peter Warrick and picking up Eddie George on a first-come, first-serve basis in September of 2003.

The team made an uncharacteristic four waiver moves (again, on a first-come, first-serve basis) prior to its loss in the playoffs last year, picking up TE Chris Cooley, WR Kelley Washington, WR Az Hakim and WR Clarence Moore.

Are waiver moves necessary for success?

Well, Hutton has gone 17-9-1 the last two years, tying for best in the league.

Not to mention handing the Cattle Prods their only defeat this year, preventing them from becoming the first undefeated team in DFL history (if memory serves).

Hutton Headhunters' ownership: Savvy, cheap, or just plain lazy?

Note to self: The answer clearly isn't savvy. The Headhunters benched higher-scoring players at the following positions this week...

- QB
- WR
- RB
- PK

...and by sheer luck escaped with a narrow victory over the impressive Donner Pass Vegetarians, who themselves were boned by tallying the second-highest score this week among all active playoff teams but were still tagged with a loss.

I don't think the Ryans will forget that they signed Marques Tuiasosopo, who hasn't played a complete game since he was at Washington way back when, to come in and start a playoff game for them.

Tui had only 4 points and they ended up losing by only 4.

As the only team with a losing record to gain entrance into this post-season tournament and having to face a power-house Hutton team, the Ryans thought we needed to gamble on the greatest Washington QB of all-time.

Besides Brad Johnson posted a zero anyway.

BTW- make this the second year in a row for this team to lose in the playoffs while posting the second highest score of the week (lost to the Americans last year in the semi-finals).<_<
