I can see luck playing a part in a championship, like when an owner stumbles upon Donovan McNabb and his 32 points and then carries those points over on a bye week -- the only time that rule applied in the history of the Great Lakes Power League. I can also see how luck would help an owner win his fourth title in the league when he benefits from the only year when return yardage points play a major factor. Figured I'd throw that one out there before I had it used on me in your reply. So how do you explain my other three in the GLP? Was it luck that led me to four titles in the Erie League? I was simply making the comment that it was nice to see Kerry Collins back at the helm, one week too late. I have no one to blame for my failure this year than myself. No excuses. As you said, I made a rookie mistake banking on a stiff and former Lion like Mike McMahon to be my backup. Similar to the rookie mistake you made by banking on Fragile Fred Taylor for the stretch run, without handcuffing him to Greg Jones.

| Still don't understand how it's luck for me to make a trade for McNabb so I can take advantage of the rule that year, but it's skill for you to add Sams to take advantage of a rule last year. Can't we agree they were both strategic moves? I traded Taylor at the deadline. Did I hope to have him in the stretch run? Yep. But I picked up the wrong backup. Simple mistake. Oh well. We all know Fantasy Football is at least 80 or 90% luck. Are you going to deny that? Edit: I sent you an email a few weeks back. How is your son and wife doing? |
