| Hello Everyone, The NFL threw a monkey wrench into our smooth running machine yesterday by moving up one of this weeks games. I had been checking fantasy sites through Wednesday, but missed the announcement yesterday (Thursday). This time change causes a problem for anyone thinking of submitting their line-up with a KCC or Miami player between now and Sunday morning. I found out about this from a phone message from Pete, made at the kickoff of tonight's game. His message was that he wanted to start two players from tonight's game. Because this was at the kickoff and the game was essentially unscheduled, I resubmitted his lineup. I checked emails and phone messages for anyone else that had the same problem, but didn't find any. When I submit someone's lineup as commissioner, I have to submit everyone's. This explains why 'transactions' show everyone resubmitted their lineup this evening. What to do ... What to do. I've spent about an hour now going over who submitted/ or didn't submit lineups yet. I also looked for who has KCC and/or MIA players. In the end, I've decided to leave the lineups as they are right now. Why? Because it is the most fair for the most people and is consistent with our league rules. Two teams will be effected most by this. Lucky Jackson's will not get the big points scored by Priest Holmes. However, John M submitted his lineup this afternoon and chose to go with Ind and StL running backs. My guess (I hope this is true) is that this game change would not effect his thinking. Graceland's Tourguides will get the short straw from this deal. John H usually does much of his team maintenance on Saturday. My guess is that he would have played Larry Johnson instead of Reuben Droughns. This would have given him 17.9 points. This really stinks because John has been working hard at rebuilding his team. John, I'm sorry for any harassment you receive over holiday meals over this. If Judy gives you any trouble, just remind her that it took a hurricane to take you out. Some teams still need players because of Bye weeks. The waiver wire is still open and you can still alter lineups with anyone who's game has not started yet. I'm sorry about this complication, but there will always be something. Thanks, Mike |
