| Hi folks, Per my email.. I think we need to discuss and address a possible change to the new rule for changes. Do we keep it at 7 votes required, or do we change it to read something like "A simple majority of confirmed/paid-up owners." The other thing I would like to address heading into the off-season is the use of draft picks. Obviously we had an issue last year with these. My suggestion to get things started is simple and straight forward...We adapt the following rule.. "Any draft pick not utilized, unless under extraordinary circumstances such as natural disaster, work related issues, military service and personal issues (Such as giving birth or health) is voided once the round has been completed. Notification of such incident should be made prior to the round taking place, or up to the start of the next round. If it occurs during the final round, the owner has up until the start of the season. Notification should be made to Kirk and it will be up to his discretion to decide if the circumstance justifies a makeup pick and will not be subject to "appeal". If a pick DOES fall into this category, the owner may make their pick but the pick may not be traded. Also, if this situation does arise, the player picked is ineligible for trade until the following off-season begins. The player may be dropped at any time, but not traded during the pre-season period or regular season." Obviously if the draft process changes, meaning 2 rounds at once or straight through etc, we will need to adjust for that, but as it stands now we have 3 or 4 weeks between rounds. That should be AMPLE time for notification. |

| I think we should keep it at 7, when we have 12 owners (unless Kirk is going to be the owner for the orphan team), since we only have 11 owners now, a simple majority would be 6... |

| I tend to agree and can't fault that math... The issue has been raised by email to me, so I am running it by the masses. Either way, I urge folks to vote one way or another. Stay pat options are available on all the polls so there really isn't a reason not to vote. If an owner doesn't plan on coming back next year, let Kirk know. At least then we have some idea of why an owner isn't participating. If there is some other reason, contact Kirk and let him know your concerns and get them addressed so we can keep everyone involved. |
