| ....is the same as no point at all. The way that the waiver wire is set up for this league determines the balance of power. It's impossible for any of the lesser's to acquire talent with the restricted wire.....especially when it shuts down after week #14. Which means that it's a stupid league. Adios....amigos. Find some other sucker to feed you $. |

I will assume control of this franchise until it can be sold. If it can't be sold, I will purchase it and play in this league in '06. Thanks and good luck to all! Kirk |

| Can we make sure the next owner is at least an adult, or has a signed permission slip from his mommy? Or at the very least... stays on his medication for the entire season. |

| Sounds like hes bitching about the lack of change.. problem is the league wanted no changes THIS year, only he wanted things to happen this year. Droughns was picked up last year by Paul when he was near the top of the waiver wire, bottom of the heap in the league. That sounds like it worked well... Not sure when Gado was picked up, but again it was a team either at the bottom or someone lucked out and got him in the middle of the pack. His waiver complaint doesn't hold much merit... unless he wants a free and open waiver system which favors those who vulture more than anything. I doubt anyone will go for that, though the extension to 4 picks seems to have legs. I discount any complaints about trades since its up to the person wanting to make a trade to make it worthwhile. The only thing he mentioned that I agree with slightly is the difficulty in bringing a team up to snuff taking it over. If I recall, he made some trades in the draft.. thats one of the key areas to improve a team and he didn't do too well. What I find ironic is that the big hub--bub this year was his willie parker manuever which worked for a week, but didn't pan out as parker ended up falling off the map for several weeks. Bottom line from my view point is that this is just whinning... if he wanted to quit because his team sucked and he didn't want to waste money on it, fine. But to bitch about the league rules etc when everyone knows changes are going to be made in the off-season is just silly. |

Also.. I find this comment a bit strange coming from him..> I've suggested league formats, new and exciting ways of doing business, to He has made some suggestions, but usually they were so vague and confusing it was a waste of time to read them. He was also the one who accused others have bashing you, I find it a bit funny to see him doing it now when no one else had done it. Pot calling the kettle black.... Anyway... that's life in the FF world. |

| I picked up Gado, when I was stumbling, bumbling and fumbling in the bottom of the pack and when GB's every running back was getting injured. I think picked him up when Fisher was suppose to be the starting RB when Davenport went down for the season. I was just looking for a running back since Holmes got injured and Jones was ineffective this year. Good riddance to him - he was always whining, whining, whining..................... |

| Well I for one usually finished ahead of him in the waiver wire race, so maybe he was pissed that I kept getting all the players he wanted...

| So when are we going to start figuring out how/when/what changes are going to be made? 3 or 4 rounds of waivers is good Wednesday night and Wednesday Night only is good Expanding the roster 2-3 spots is good IR is BAD!!!!! I'll warn you all now that I'm going to be very noisy and opinionated about the IR thing. I'm very against it. I think it is unnecessary if we are going to be expanding the roster size by 2 or 3. I think it will only create more possibilities for disagreements. I'm not saying it will create more disagreements, but it makes the possibility a lot more likely. Expand the rosters. I think we need to abide by the KISS(Keep It Simple Stupid) rule. By making so many options available to everyone there is only going to be more ways to manipulate the rules and take advantage of certain scenarios. Less options means less problems... But hey, I'm just one owner... Jeremy Johnson Red Mile Flames |

| First question... vote via the polls, if you haven't already.. changes will take place after the season has ended. Kirk will need to decide exactly when, I imagine he is very busy right now. Nothing wrong with stating your opinion or being against a specific change.. Just be proactive and polite ![]() From the looks of the voting so far, I think you can rest easy that the IR will not come to pass at this time. |
