| Hey guys-- I had to make several waiver corrections this morning because of the Ricky Williams situation. He was claimed last night by the KATs of SI and shouldn't have been... *BrownsROCK PB Waiver dropped Williams, Ricky MIA RB Thu Nov 10 8:41:42 p.m. ET 2005 As you know, players dropped just before auction night are not eligible to be bid on. Section V - Trading, Transactions and Lineups 2. Any player dropped during the regular season will not be allowed to be acquired by waivers unless the player has been dropped 24 hours prior to the close of the waiver window period. Therefore, a player must be dropped prior to 11 p.m. EST on Wednesday in order for that dropped player to be eligible for the current week's waivers. Any player dropped after 11 p.m. EST on Wednesday will be available for the next week's waivers. Therefore, Williams was released this morning and placed back in the free agent pool for next week. Since that is my fault, I needed to check for who the next request was for KATs of SI and how much the bid was for. That can be found here... *KATs of S.I. I'm not sure how we correct this situation in the future to limit the confusion... Perhaps remove the drop player button during the week and only let players be dropped on auction bid night??
