The teams drafted in our
Fantasy Index mock drafts are competing during the season in a maintenance-free, best-ball league -- no trades, waiver pickups or other roster moves. Every week we calculate each team’s maximum possible score by adding the stats for its best players at each position. Teams play all 11 other teams every week; at the end of the season each team will have a combination of 176 total wins, losses and ties (16 weeks x 11 games per week = 176). The Yardage/TD mock draft was conducted May 15, 2005. See our other mock drafts:

Scoring system:
1 point for every 10 rushing/receiving yards
1 point for every 20 passing yards
6 points for TD runs, catches, and kick returns
4 points for every passing TD
3 points per field goal and 1 point per PAT
Defense/special teams score 6 points for TDs scored on kickoff, pund and turnover returns, and 2 points for each sack/takeaway
No points are awarded for receptions or pass completions; no points are deducted for interceptions or fumbles
