Analysis: The Bills say he's just an emergency option at linebacker with the team battling so many injuries. Scott has likely lost his safety job entering the Week 9 bye. Buffalo figures to emerge from the off week with Donte Whitner healed from his ankle injury at strong safety, and Jairus Byrd manning FS.
