Commish Notes Championship Weekend

The Title game....Could the Pansy Bowl Champ become the CHAMP??? Lots of smack during the week, during the game and in the end the question that had been asked was true. From Pansy to Champ, the Kansas City Freight Trains are the NEW RFL CHAMPIONS!!!!! For third place, it was no contest as St. Louis took care of Orlando. In the Pansy Bowl, we had two big guys and I hope the dress will fit!!! I just love the new Pansy Champ...can you say????.......J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS,JETS!!!!!

It's been a fun league even though my team sucked..Duce is history!!! Down to a little business. The Trophy presentation and business meeting will be on April 17th. I can move it to the 16th, but that will be the only date change. If you are unable to come, then you are unable to come. The place and time has yet to be determined so send in your suggestions. Also, I'm accepting new rule proposals at this time. If you no longer wish to be in the league, then let me know as soon as possible so we can find a new owner. I hope everyone stays but I understand if you need to leave.

Next year's draft order: 1- Kc Kamikazies, 2-Mexico City (via Fillmore), 3- Mexico City, 4- Omaha, 5- Miami, 6- Tempe, 7- Bakersfield, 8- Bakersfield (via Carson City), 9 - Orlando, 10- St. Louis 11- Omaha (via Baltimore), 12 - KC Freight Trains.

I will have some more information next week.

Commish Notes Week 2 Playoffs
Baltimore has been to the last two championship but now Orlando stood in their way from number 3! Could Orlando make their first ever appearance? Even without Priest Holmes, the Bombers have been a tough team to beat. Given the fact that the Falcons decide to rest their $10 million day man, probably cost Orlando a trip to the finals. Why pay a guy that kind of money only to have him sit one way and may start the next? The Freight Trains have been the King of Missouri during the regular season but St. Louis has been one hot team! Could the team that won it for the very first team finally make it back to the big game? A four point loss to the King of Missouri sends the Freight Trains to their very first final! Will history be made? It will be if Baltimore losses. No team has every loss 3 straight championship games.

In the Pansy Bowl, the other KC team thought their team was better than what their record showed, but they were only 1 game from the Bowl game. Tempe has the fire power, but could they avoid the Pansy Bowl? No, Tempe is headed for the Bowl. Omaha has been a team that has been on fire lately. Could the Badgers put out the flame? Yes, so now my favorite saying....J-E-T-S,JETS, JETS, JETS are headed for the Pansy Bowl. One thing is for sure, the DRESS is going to someone!

For third place trophy, two old classmates will battle it out.

Next year's draft order: 1- Kc Kamikazies, 2-Mexico City (via Fillmore), 3- Mexico City, 4- Omaha, 5- Miami, 6- Tempe, 7- Bakersfield, 8- Bakersfield (via Carson City), 9 -12 TBA.

Waiver wire order: 1- Kamikazies, 2- Fillmore, 3- Mexico City, 4- Omaha, 5- Miami, 6- Tempe, 7- Bakersfield, 8-Carson City, 9- St. Louis, 10- Orlando, 11- Freight Trains, 12- Baltimore.

Commish Notes Week 1 of Playoffs
The first week of the playoffs are in the books! The last time these two teams met, it was a huge shoot out! This time, a little lower scoring, but the same outcome. Back in 1984, Dan Marino set the record for 48 td's in a season. We always wondered what it would be like fantasy wise and of course the champ would have had Marino on their team. Well, Manning has 47 right now, but the Bandits will not taste the championship with the combo of Manning/Harrison! Manning will be the new TD record holder after this week. The Tigers with the hottest WR in the league right now advances! Orlando and Carson City faced off again. Teams from the same division but Carson City won the division. The Thunder lower the boom on the Cougars and advance. In the Pansy Bowl, the Champ was looking to get out as soon as possible. They did as they beat the J-E-T-S for the third time this season. Mexico City and Tempe also were looking to end their terrible season! Tempe just didn't have the fire power as they advance.

Next week, the Bombers take on the Thunder. Last year, the Thunder was one of two teams to defeat the Bombers. WIll the Bombers get their revenge this year? The Freight Trains beat the Tigers plus the other KC team twice to be the Kings of Missouri. Now they have to beat St. Louis once again to advance to the Title game. St. Louis is looking to make it back to the big game in which they have been gone for a long time. In the Pansy bowl, the #1 seed KC will take on the Turtles and the #2 seed Badgers will face the Jets. One of these four teams will be the one to wear the DRESS!

There is one game on Friday and two on Saturday with the rest on Sunday. FA will end at noon on Friday. Also any players starting from your team need to be in by gametime.

Next year's draft order: 1- Kc Kamikazies, 2-Mexico City (via Fillmore), 3- Mexico City, 4- Omaha, 5- Miami, 6- Tempe, 7- Bakersfield, 8- Bakersfield (via Carson City), 9-12 TBA.

Waiver wire order: 1- Kamikazies, 2- Fillmore, 3- Mexico City, 4- Omaha, 5- Miami, 6- Tempe, 7- Bakersfield, 8-Carson City, 9- Orlando, 10- St. Louis, 11- Freight Trains, 12- Baltimore.

Week 14 Commish Notes

The Final National Rankings:
28- Baltimore Bombers

188- Bakersfield Bandits
508- KC Freight Trains
519- Orlando Thunder
584- St. Louis Tigers
602- Carson City Cougars

1081- Miami Stingrays
1139- Tempe Turtles
1190- Mexico City Smugglers
1298- KC Kamikazies
1332- Fillmore Badgers

Baltimore represented our league in the National Rankings Playoff Tournament!

The playoff picture is complete. Thanks to a wild MNF game, the Freight Trains become the #2 seed! The Western Division showed how good they were this year as they send 3 to the playoffs. The Champs are in the Pansy Bowl and the Pansy Bowl Champ is in the playoffs!

There are 3 games on Saturday this week so waivers end on Saturday at 10am! Also any players starting from your team need to be in by gametime unless you have a bye!

Next year's draft order: 1- Kc Kamikazies, 2-Mexico City (via Fillmore), 3- Mexico City, 4- Omaha, 5- Miami, 6- Tempe, 7-12 TBA.

The Bombers got knocked out of the top 25 but still is ranked high enough to be invited to the Playoffs. Good Luck!

What a scoring fest! I think we might have a new record for points scored in one game plus combined points in one game! The Bombers with Julius Jones came from behind to take out the Badgers and end their losing streak, Tempe came out of their shell and smacked the Kamikazies, scoring and more scoring the Tigers beat the Bandits 173-148 but could have scored 199!!!! Hasselbeck sunk the Freight Trains and MIami down the J-E-T-S!!!

Playoff Picture: The teams have been decided, now the seeding with be decided this week. The Bombers are the #1 seed. KC Freight Trains can be the #2 seed with a win and Orlano losss. Orlando can be the #2 seed with a win. Carson City can only be a #3 seed with a win and an Orlando loss.

Commish Notes Week 12

We had a shootout!!! Last year the Champs won because of Ahman Green, this year they enter the Pansy Bowl because of Ahman Green!, Kamikazies get pass the Smugglers, in a wild one, the Bandits take down the Bombers, the J-E-T-S bomb the Thunder, the Freight Trains slip pass the Turtles and the Tigers take care of the Badgers.

Commish Notes Week 11
National Rankings:
8- Baltimore Bombers
126- Bakersfield Bandits
886- KC Freight Trains
921- Carson City Cougars

1750- Omaha Jets
1829- Miami Stingrays
1846- KC Kamikazies
1876- Tempe Turtles
What a week in the RFL! The Champs keep their slim playoff hopes alive by a nailbitter of a win, Freight Trains continue to Dominate other Missouri teams, the Thunder are playing like champs as they manhandle the Bandits, the Turtles keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over the Badgers, Cougars devour the Smugglers and the UPSET OF THE YEAR....the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS down the once undefeated Bombers!
The next 3 weeks are divisional games so the playoff seeding will be determine. Some teams are on the bubble and a loss this week probably will send them into the Pansy Bowl tournament. The Bandits clinch a playoff spot while the Kamikazies become the first team into the Pansy Bowl Tournament.
Remember, waivers end at 6pm on Wednesday this week. The Colts, Lions, Bears and Cowboys play on Thanksgiving day. If you want to start any players from these teams, then you need to send them in by gametime of the first game on Thanksgiving. If you want to bench a player from one of these teams that played last week, then you need to let me know by gametime of the first game on Thanksgiving.
Remember to give Thanks!

Well, the Bombers kept falling in the rankings, maybe with a high score this week they can get back into the top 5.
Bombers clinch a playoff spot. The Champs are on the verge of being the first team in the Pansy Bowl Playoffs. Who wanted the TE to have value? Well, that sure helped the Showboats come from behind and whip the Champs, J-E-T-S keep finding ways to win as they trounce the Turtles, in a close one the Thunder escape with a victory over the Freight Trains, Bandits prove they are better outlaws than the Smugglers, Bombers are getting closer to becoming the first team to go UNDEFEATED, and the Cougars ate up the Badgers.

It hurts me not to talk about the games but it has been a very difficult time for me. I hope to bring them back soon. The Bombers remain the only undefeated team!

Commish Notes week 3
Let's get to the games...the Defending Champs are winless but so were the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS! Who would get their first victory? The Champs get their first win of the season by downing the JETS, J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS! The Pansy Bowl Champs are 1-1 and in the division playoff hunt but they faced the dangerous Smugglers! Trent Green finally put up some numbers for KC and they run over the Smugglers. Baltimore was looking at going 3-0 but faced the feisty Badgers. Badgers had the misfortune of playing the Bombers when their main RB was on a bye so the Bombers take the win. The Kamikazies were looking at remaining the division leader while Tempe was hoping at using the momentum from last week's victory to knock off the Kamikazies. In a close one, Kamikazies hold on to the victory. Carson City was looking at getting in the win column while Orlando was wanting to extend their division lead. In a Blowout, the Cougars whip the Thunder! Two of the original owners faced off. Both teams were undefeated. Tigers vs Bandits and it was a shoot-out! McNabb was firing on all cylinders but Peyton had yet to play! In a wild one, the Bandits remain unbeaten!
Another week of NFL Byes. Two undefeated teams and one winless team remain.

National Rankings

317- Baltimore Bombers

2030- Carson City Cougars
2268- Omaha Jets

Commish Notes
Let's get to the games....The Defending Champs lost by 3 points last week and were looking to get in the win column. Tempe was looking to knock the Champs down to a 0-2 start. Tempe finally bench Plummer and start the Carr! The Carr runs to perfection and the Turtles beat the Champs by 5! The Other Champ was looking to pull the upset over the Bombers. The Priest has a so-so day and the Deuce gets hurt. Prime time for the Freight Trains to run over the Bombers. The Bombers stay focused and get by the Freight Trains. Both Defending Champs start the season at 0-2. The Kamikazies really needed some RB help as Davis went down. The Thunder were looking at going 2-0. The Kamikazies made a trade to get a RB, but did you know that the Kamikazies did not even have to make the trade to win the game? Amazing! In a landslide, the Thunder go down. Did the trade that the Bandits make with the Kamikazies cost him his game against the Cougars? Shaun Alexander ran wild last week. Could he be tamed this week? In
a close game, the Bandits get pass the Cougars. St. Louis is on a win streak, but here comes the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!!! Man, I'm so glad we have JETS team in our league!!! Favre vs DA Bears. Who wins? Favre right? Not this time. The MNF duel between McNabb and Culpepper just added to the Tigers stats! The Tigers down the JETS. Mexico City stole a game last week, could they do it again? The Badgers benched Martin last week, how about this week? The Smugglers start the back up to Davis, De Shaun Foster, and he had a great game, but my favorite Martin and Pennington get the victory for the Badgers!
This week marks division play and the start of the NFL bye weeks.

Week 1 Commish Report
Ok, well seems like everyone is liking the new website so that's a plus! Let's see how this article thing works and remember anyone can write an ARTICLE, so get after it! Ok, on to the commish report.
In the years past, I have always began with the Champs games, so I guess I will still continue that way. Last season, the big game involved Miami Vs Baltimore. In a very close game, Miami won the Championship. This week they met for the rematch, who would win and would it be close? Remember this trivial fact for some future game show: Who in 2004 had 5 rushes for 1 yard and scored 3 TD's??? The Answer: Not the BUS, but the VULTURE BETTIS!!! Just giving one of those TD's to Duce, who did all the work, would have been enough for Miami to overcome the Bombers. The Bombers get their sweet revenge as the take down the Stingrays in a nail-bitter, 134-131. We might as well head to the Pansy Bowl Champ. The Freight Trains begin their Title Defense, a title they would give away in a New York Minute, faced the mighty Cougars. I think the edge on paper surely pointed to the Cougars as the Baltimore Defense was facing the hapless Browns, but what looks good on paper doesn't necessary mean good for Fantasy Football. Shaun Alexander and his 34 points were not enough to escape the roaring Freight Trains. Calling Curtis Martin, Calling Curtis Martin??? "Hey Mr. Martin, could you please explain to us why a JETS fan would not start you?" "I, mean, you are the highest paid player on his team?" "I just don't understand!" Those have to be the words of the Fillmore Badgers. Just for the record, it didn't matter, but if you would have started the JET man plus a certain DOLPHIN Player, you would have WON! The Thunder lowers the boom and toasts the Badgers! While we are on the subject of the JETS, let's take about the Omaha J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS!!!! Ok, it sounded good for them, but they lost their thunder as the Smugglers get back to their old ways and steal one from Omaha. Jamal Lewis ran for over 500 yards in two games against the Browns, so Tempe is thinking at least 30+ points from his ace. Good thinking, but I guess someone forgot to tell the Browns to lay down and they laid the SMACK DOWN on Lewis which put the Turtles in a bad situation against the Bandits! The Bandits ride Owens and the Titans Defense to the victory. Our last matchup, the first game of the battle of Missouri! St. Louis has been in the league from the beginning even though their name hasn't always been St. Louis. They recommended the owner of the Kansas City Kamikazies to be part of the league and since that time they have been an outstanding team. But on this particular week, St. Louis showed why they are the kings of Missouri for this week as they scalp the Kamikazies, 112-73.
