Sadly, the 2003 season comes to a close. Thanks for playing, and I hope everyone had a great time. Best wishes in the off-season, and see you all in 2004!
For the second straight season, the #1 Wild Card team has won it all! Following in the Sugar Daddies' footsteps, Tom Christenson's first-year Buckley Bean Leaf Beetles rose up against Drew's former champs, the Ravenna Droosiers, to walk away with the trophy with a final score of 71-62. It all came down to the Monday night game and a kicker. Kinda like the NFL! Congratulations, Tom! And congratulations to Drew for once again making it to the big game.
And now here's a bit of irony. Michele's Bullfrogs not only manage to stomp Monty's Heavy Petting Zoo into the ground to keep her hands off the Toilet Bowl trophy for the second straight year, but she also put up the highest score of the year in doing so, winning 96-49! Congratulations, Michele! You've avoided your name on that thing yet again. And Monty, all I can say is that this curse thing by G might actually be real! Oh well, there's always next year...
